Hi.best angle is a right angle, so 90 degrees. Traxxas say 7 degrees because with the original transmitter you have no subtrimm to do exactly 90 degrees .with your dx5c you are able to subtrimm. And of course the car have to be turned on if you do adjustments😊and if you got exactly 90 degrees mount the linkage on the servohorn. now adjust the linkage until the srew will slip by itself in the other side of the linkage. @upgradedrc3697 The issue started when the battery was removed to charge. Upon reconnecting, the reverse throttle was having full throttle, throttle trim was not working. Forward throttle was not having any issue and throttle trim was also working fine. Tried to troubleshoot with the throttle calibration instructions given in the program card manual. In that step 4,5 and 6 doesn't work properly, sometimes step 4 works sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes 5 works sometimes it doesn't. Now if the forward gets calibrated, the reverse throttle will not work at all. If the reverse gets calibrated, the forward throttle will not work at all. Please help!!! Ps: the battery box was extremely congested. I bought a small plastic box, sanded it using fine sandpaper, painted it with black Matt spray paint. Made a small cut in the rear to pass the wires. Removed old box and stuck the new one with double-sided tape. Hope this will be useful...

@akhilchalil1585 Sorry buddy, from what you have told me. It sounds like the ESC is shorting out. Not sure if you have seen the video where I replace the ESC, but I strongly recommend the furitek python pro with integrated receiver. I have 4 of them and love the extra power you get plus the Bluetooth adjustments and telemetry to your phone. 😎👍🤟

@@upgradedrc3697 I was able to fix the issue with a bluetooth module. There was a factory reset option. Now esc is normal. Thank you for the support.

I agree with your first initial thought I would’ve assumed that the contour side would’ve went towards the gears as well for yes lubrication purposes, but also possible clearance issues for debris that might possibly be in there. Seems like with the flat side right up against the gear, it would mash more debris if there is some in there into the gear rather than let the fluid in thereto carry it out and away

Hello Trevis (hope I didn't butcher your name, sorry!), As a newbie in the RC world owning an E-Revo 2.0, your videos are an immense help and I cannot thank you enough. The depth and detail you go into in each video are very satisfying to learn and understand! Regarding the gear mesh, is there any lubrication needed? I applied a tiny bit of WD-40 Dry on the gears, would that cause any issues? Thanks again, kind regards from Romania!

Have a question I was hoping you could help me with. I finally got everything up and running; however, the light on my ESC blinks off and on blue. Everything works correctly and have no issues, but was told it should be solid green. So, I'm kind of scratching my head at a loss. Should it be solid green? If so, what am I missing? Thanks!

@@upgradedrc3697 Yea i heard you say that but it makes no sense, 2S is supposed to be 7,4 V - when you showed it it was a bit less, so maybe the battery was not completely full, how could a "voltage correction parameter" on the ESC comensate for that ?

@snörre23 I agree, it's not really something I will ever use. If you had a bigger battery and wanted to lower the voltage to run it with that esc or motor you could use it for that lol.

i've seen on ebay a complete metal frame upgrade including the new 5 transfercase which cost twice more than the stock car itself.. very interesting

Super cool. I’m working on my own Vitavon upgrades. Just finished installing an NSDRC servo which is crazy cool. Curious why you think you need so many batteries though. I’ve got one 5300 4S and it’s lasting for a very long time. May do two at some point (3S) for servo which is insane anyway and just supply the same for the winch.

Great video & info! Three out of my 4 Promoto's had front wheels binding. I was able to pull the lever and just back the piston off a very slight amount and they're perfect now. It was a time saver to not have to remove the caliper and shoes.

Hello , for 24:26 I’m using VITAVON CNC Aluminum7075 V2 Steering Links Set For Axial SCX6 Jeep Wrangler Trail Honcho 1/6 - Vitavon Can the panhard bar be the reason one side turns better than the other ? Even though I’ve checked everything seems to be straight .. just one side seems to turn more in than the other .

Yes, I have watched it 3-4 times so far. I finally ordered a 6V battery pack to test like you show and my SR515 is not working; no power. I tested the battery pack and it’s fine, so I ordered a new SR515. Do you do house calls? I just want to get on the trails/rocks…

@daveredding9957 No house calls lol. You can also just hook it all up and plug in your battery to the esc. The little battery pac is just because I had one and it makes it easy.

I’m in the middle of changing the servo (Holmes 550 Raw) and motor/esc combo (Spectrum 2-in-1 combo), adding the waterproof box for the SR515, waterproofing the SR515, gathering tools, trying to program my DX-5 Rugged, etc. I’m an accountant and way out of my comfort zone. My newest question is are there two bindings? One for Servo, one for ESC? That’s why I’m thinking I needed the battery pack. Hey, I really appreciate your help and love your You Tubes. I have watched all 12 relating to the Gladiator several times, and I’m working through the upgrades.

@daveredding9957 You only need to bind to your receiver, with or without your ESC and a battery. Then all the servos, lights, winch, etc, plug into the reciever.

So you know ESC means "electronic speed controller " Or your throttle. Plug in steering servo to ch 1, plug in esc to ch2. All the rest are auxiliary for lights, a dig, shift servo, or other accessories. 😎🤙
