This is surreal. Spartanburg County in SC just installed 10 sections plus 2 aprons under our pigtail of a road. Then, it widened the road to match. They are awesome. We've had two massive floods since, and they held beautifully with NO erosion!!!

How much yall lay in a day . My crew lays at least 300 foot a day . On a good day . 6 man crew , hook up, 2 tamp men , operator , grade man . And we don’t do all the by hand grading we use the excavator it’s a lot faster . We lay 150 before lunch . Starting at 7:30 and get done laying by 10:30 back fill to 11:30 then lunch .
@blakebasko69473 ай бұрын
I never heard of tamping sand . You can’t get it compacted enough to have a tight compaction. That would fail wheee I’m from and you would have to dig all that up and compact it better until it passes.

placing a concrete pad down is way better because when you put the boxes together there wont be stone between the joints and the pad keeps the level all the time especially if your close to any water table or dirt that's not great . You can say oh thats more money but when you have to go back and fix it you didnt save anything

I can see why the pre-cast boxes are so much cheaper to install. I spent many months of my youth building poured-in--place boxes. I do not miss it. :) Nice video.
