I climbed that dihedral recently. I was able to get a confidence nut in the seam on the left that made that initial runout a little easier to bear.

I know exactly where you’re talking about. Like a 7 or 8 stopper.

@@michaelsmeanderings67 Not sure the size...it was a little guy about 10-12 feet off the deck on the left side. I was using a friends Metolius gear I was not familiar with. I pulled it out accidentally after I placed my next piece where you got your first in. A reminder to have first piece be multidirectional right? As I said, it was only for confidence...pretty sketchy to whip on.

LOL you probably know where I started getting anxiety, but what a great place!

2:20, right? I’ll be willing to bet Otto has been directly over this cave in one of your many trips to the area.

@michaelsmisadventures3321 LOL see? didn't take long! From talking with you and seeing the places you've been, I realize we have been over, past, or near MANY of the caves and not even have a clue.

Wow what a beautiful place. I’m so happy that you and Danny could go caving together.

Me too. He’s a lot of fun. And yeah this cave was beautiful.

Thank you. There were multiple times that we were both filming at the same time and I was able to sync them up and switch from one to the other. It was fun to edit. I knew you’d appreciate a third person view.

Awsome video. I loved the transitions. And it was nice seeing a trip I was on from someone else’s perspective.

if you haven't climbed it yet you should consider Slabbin Like Sunday Morning. it is a long scramble with a very short and well featured 5.5 section. You could easily solo it.

It’s definitely on my to do list.

Awsome. Any reason you use the soloist instead of something like the gri gri?
@michaelsmeanderings67 Жыл бұрын
I love how smoothly the soloist feeds. Everything I’ve tried with a Gri-Gri or TazLove hasn’t been quite as smooth. Your mileage may vary. I’m not too concerned about the limitations of the Soloist . I know that in a complete inverted fall it doesn’t engage but in my experience it’s effective enough. Just tie backups. I really like your slipknot around the biner trick. So simple but I’m kicking myself for not thinking about it before. I used to use rubber bands but they were much harder to set up especially one handed.
