Hey Sis, I'm currently going through the less than cute stage and it is not easy like you stated. I am married and both my husband and I are feeling this change LOL. Being a Hebrew woman, I wrap my hair already; it's definitely a way to get through this stage. I am on year two in my loc journey and I am excited to accept this challenge; it is also helpful to watch videos like yours and many others. I have learned that Dread Locs is what Europeans call it to throw shade and that it is in our culture called Locs. So, it is also an educational journey as well.

For me personally I wash my hair at that time period and it pretty much puffs your roots back up anyway. I retwist every 2 months but wash it every 2 weeks

So i too have that 4z hair and i hated burnin myself with a curling iron. I thought professionals dont burn u and tbe never did but i think i had PSD from the truama of burning myself so many times... that the sound of sizzling hair next to my head (pros ALWAYS use a heat protectant or hairspray to hold the curl) was 2 much to handle 😂😂😂 Now i kno that Monique put out that PSA about wearin bonnets outside but they have become my friend. And HEADWRAPS r u bestie. We certainly have more options than wigs or braids to cover our locs. DETANGLIN was a B. having that 4z hair takes FOREVER AND YEAR.
