I blew my sb 350 up in my 68 Camaro … I already did a t56 swap, will my bellhousing work on an LS? And will I have to modify my transmission mount again?
@blindguysgarage2 ай бұрын
No, the bill housing will bolt up fine. You would need a adapter clutch as the bell housing is a little longer on a small block than a LS other than that everything transmission related will be the same.

I have a 73 Buick Apollo. (Nova with a Buick 350 engine and BOP trans) do you think a LS truck engine will clear the stock hood? I don't want to cut the hood or stick a scoop on it since its a super sweet original car in stock shape. Also, since this is my first swap, I don't want to crack open the good running engine and change the intake. Also, I don't want to spend any more than I have to. Thanks. Great content!
@blindguysgarage2 ай бұрын
I very highly doubt it will clear I would almost guarantee it will not, but if you was to change the intake, it will however, you will also have to change the alternator bracket the alternator will sit too high, and then it will hit the hood

Dealer recommends I replace the LQ4 in my 06 Yukon Denali. They want just shy of $7k for the remanufactured engine, and about another $6k for install (3yr /100k mile warranty whether they or I install it). I've never rebuilt/removed/replaced an engine, but willing to do it. Would you recommend I pull and rebuild the LQ4 , or purchase reman'd/crate engine w/ warranty and install it myself, if going this route can you recommend where to purchase from? Thank You for your videos!

If you have never built an engine before it’s a cool and fun experience however it’s extremely nice to have the warranty. I would probably buy a engine through either the dealer as you can tell it will be expensive or even through the local auto parts store. AutoZone advanced O’Reillys something like this probably will be half the cost and would be the direction I would go in your situation I believe.
