I agree with your methods. In preparation I like to type up a script and use when practicing and fine tuning, in this process I get prepared. Then I go up to present with a minimal outline , to make sure I haven't forgotten anything and keep me on track. This method allows me to let Holy Spirit move me in real time. And with time I am shifting to less and less notes.
