Hi I have a 1980 Yamaha 340. Just wondering where you got that bumper strip from?

Could change your bottom big gear sprocket in crank case . 2 sizes smaller. I did that to my 2000 zr 600. Went 2 sizes smaller used same chain. Woke it up a lot.

A3 Weight and AEEN orange spring in the primary clutch, set the secondary to C3 . The setup won the European iceraceing 1985 , no bs.

Just picked up the exact same sled from my former neighbor. We used to ride this as teenagers. Such nostalgia for me. Pretty sure she hasn’t seen snow in thirty years. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmeoo3l-eJxoZrMfeature=shared

Awesome! These roadside ditches are basically a half pipe. I tried to do some carving like this recently with our old 1984 Ski Doo Safari... It could handle a little, but does not have the track and power like modern sled's. But it's a blast to push it to it's limits!

Love the videos. You swap out a lot of belly pans. What is your plan of attack for the rivet holes?? They are always differant with mismatched pieces. Do you use the holes in the pan or frame? Thanks

She looks pretty Clean for a 42 year old sled. Should slide along the trail well. Well done Sir. 👍👍 Did you end up changing the bearing in the bottom of the Chain case while it was off? Hoss~
@garagenerd19512 ай бұрын
@Hosstyle. thanks for watching! I didn't change that bearing since it felt very good. It was also a Koyo or NTN so it's good quality.

I bought an 83 i think i bored it 40 over with Wiscoe Pistons. Ported and polished with a rebuild comet 102C. Rebuilt the skid and did a seat cover. I then sold it due to having a terrible winner and financial issues. I put 10 miles on it. I regret selling it so much. They are a hot sled.

I tune in just to hear these engines run. It's a beautiful thing. One thing I'll never understand, though, is how you work in such appalling conditions. That shop is filthy. Would it kill you to run a broom through there every once in a while? Good grief.

I like the yellow skis on the SRV. Makes me think Ski-Maha or Yama-Doo?
@SPCLPONY2 ай бұрын
That turned out to be a beautiful sled after you put the work into it. Last year, I bought a pair of 90's Ski-Doo's for me and my kids to bomb around on at our farm fields and woods. It's been many years for me since I've been on a snowmobile. My kids and grandchildren all ride my ATV's, but they've never been on a sled until last winter. The laughing, screaming, and smiles made the purchase well worth it! I have a green 96' Touring E and a maroon 99' Formula DLX. Both have the simple yet reliable 380 Rotax fan engines. The sleds were in pretty good shape for their age, but like you, I had to make them nice again. I replaced anything that was missing or broken. Even if it was just cosmetic. A windshield and gas cap with a working gas guage on one, and a bumper, mirrors, and missing hood screens on the other. Thanks for the interesting video!

I like watching snowmobile rebuilds looks like you’re having some fun there. If you ever decide to come out to Colorado I have one just like it you could have for free free. It ran last year.

What kind of pistons did you order? Was OEM available? Hoss
@garagenerd19513 ай бұрын
@Hosstyle. I never checked for OEM. I run SPI on on my sleds. Have not had an issue yet 🤞🤞. For this sled I went with the T-Molly coated pistons.
