I picked up another of these in the exact same shape basically same color and year with a bad stator chewed by mice. Replaced with a ‘97 SX stator and runs great after cleaning and replacing carb parts needles and seats. These are the best sleds ever imo.

Nice work, & Nice Find. These are Great old sleds. Nothing Sounds better than a Greasy Triple.... well maybe a Vmax-4. I worked at a Yamaha dealer all throughout the 90's. It was a great era of sleds.

Nice vmax just to let you know the tors was kicking in when you rev it so the trotle cable is probably to thight
