Just take your dog for a walk. Take them into the lawn. Just give them what they need. This is horrible and very sad. Dogs in jail in your home. 😢

If installing for long-term use, suspending the electrical wires from stainless steel cable is recommended. We've hung a lot of lights for clients and by mounting to stainless steel cable you're taking the tension off the electrical wire, thus increasing the durability of the install over the long-term. The electrical wires on string lights are not engineered to hold the weight of those lights in outdoor exposures over the long-term. Most are engineered to be a temporary install.

One of the few installs that shows how to cut small inspection hole first and then to proceed to cut shallow to avoid hidden wires and pipes. Creative idea to notch a chunk out of stud on the left. IMO you should also caulk around the framing so no water gets behind the framing and settles at all. This is true moisture prevention.

Hi Heather, I recently purchased a house and was needing a sturdy bed frame for my room. I just finished it out yesterday. Really only took half a day but longer with waiting for the mattress to fully set to it's fullness and the staining. Overall I love how it came out. It came out better than I expected seeing as how it was my first time doing a project like this. Thank you for the idea and thank you to April too. I changed the 2×8 boards to 2×10s and did 5 pocket holes instead of 4. Also didn't do the top trim since I end up hitting myself on the sides a lot more. I did the 2×4s to allow the mattress to set in 2 inches in the frame. Also did thicker blocks for the middle supports. I should have extended the frame by an inch on the height and width, like Jason said, to allow that wiggle room but didn't think about it. I have yet to sleep in it since I'm waiting on the mattress. I will comment if I feel anything off about the bed. Also will comment if it moves too much when I do the dirty on it 😏🤭 ❤

Awesome!! We were ordering grass patches from doggielawn and we have been paying 32, now up to almost 45 bucks a grass patch! She goes through one every 2 weeks. Used to go through one in one week!! We already have a nice thick 2x4 plastic liner for it so I'm definetly going to get a roll of sod to use from now on! SO much cheaper!!👏👏👏

There are so many pot grow shops now, one could get hydroponic mats of jute or coir, grass seed, and grow your own pee pads as often as necessary!! Grow them in manageable sizes that you can take outside and water on your lawn or driveway occasionally once they are being used by your pet. Should last longer too.

@HeatherMoxieDIYed

Hi Taletha, The pots weren’t very big at all. I went with a small to medium sized plastic pot. It worked out in this backyard setting, but once we moved to a more open lot we needed to switch them out. If I were to do this project in our current yard, I would go with at least 24 inch diameter pots if not larger.

Has anyone done this DIY and found you have to sand the plastic beforehand? Just curious if the paint chips off after use without sanding. TIA! :)
