Thank you so much. Just what I needed…. Mine was 5 years old and had heavy use with 3 grand children, it was pretty yuk. I now have a step I want to display.

I have one of these Bekvam stools for nine years now.It's made of solid Beech and I've noticed the latest ones are just made of Soft wood here in the Dublin store.You can really feel the difference in the weight.The beech must be so much stronger too

you say you use early american for the stain in this video but mine is more orange and no where near as dark and depth of your stool. are you sure that is the stain you used?

How long did it take altogether, and which type of brush did you use?

how look did you allow the stain to sit? I've tried for 30 minutes and mine still doesn't look the color of yours
@HeatherMoxieDIYed8 жыл бұрын
+Candace Caldwell I let my stain sit for about 15-20 or until it no longer looked "wet", then I removed any excess & added another layer/began that process again. When I use this stain I usually do at least 3 coats before deciding I like the finish 😊

Is it better to sit it outside and wipe it with a wet cloth?
@HeatherMoxieDIYed8 жыл бұрын
+Candace Caldwell sitting outside might make the process a little faster, but remember not to leave each coat for longer than 30 min because you want to remove the excess layer of stain that doesn't set. It's not a horrible thing if you do, but when I did my dining table with the same method I did that & it just makes the process a pain lol

+Candace Caldwell oh & definitely use a damp cloth 😊

Staining on carpet yikes

Definitely not one of my smartest ideas 😅 but thankfully I never had a staining accident in our little apartment. I eventually started using drop-paper/cloths too. Thanks for watching!
