I learned the hard way to not use plastic tire irons (they break; at least mine did). Get good forged steel tire irons and save some grief.

What’s with that fat hub on the rear wheel?
@cyclefitness3 жыл бұрын
That is a Powertap hub. It measures how much power you are producing. www.saris.com/post/blog-next-level-riding-why-train-with-a-power-meter

Thank you for posting this video. It's the best I've seen on KZbin with regards to how practical and comprehensive your instructions and pointers are .... right down to how to lay the bike on the ground and when is a good time to get the tools out. Running a cloth along the tyre is a great tip to avoid injury. This step is essential to prevent another tube going flat if the debris is not removed. Much appreciated video!

@1:48 "Take the tire lever and go underneath the bead..." The problem with wheels that are tubeless-compatible is the tire bead sits tightly on a rail inside the rim and it's impossible to slide the tire lever underneath it and hook onto it. What you need to do is push the bead off its rail onto a center channel area that will leave a gap for the tire lever to go underneath the bead. Sometimes, however, the bead sits so tightly on the rail that you just can't budge it - not even with a tire lever. The solution? Apply a thin coat of grease to the inside of the rim when you first install the tire. The bead will slide off easily just by pushing on it with your thumbs. Slide the bead off its rail on the whole rim on both sides and you won't even need a tire lever to remove the tire. Do this BEFORE you have to fix a flat on the road next time.

Is the co2 cartridge garbage after that or is it reuseable?
@allanallen18354 жыл бұрын
Just buy a co2 recharger it’s another co2 cartridge you fill the empty one up with 😉

On an inexpensive bike, OK. But, on a nice bike you'll scratch up your seat, handlebar, and whatever gadget you might have on your handlebar. And God forbid you forget to remove your bike computer! Yikes!

Thank you for this video....It explains a lot about the problems i've had with my front derallieur. It's definitely a lot more temperamental than the rear derailleur...I also find that you have to shift a bit slower on the front if you have a twist shifter, compared to the rear.
