You are one of the only jump rope influencers that does not only promote shorter jump ropes. I don’t like short ropes. I like longer ropes. I’m very muscular with big arms, shoulders, and back.

Any recommendations in 2024? I don’t wanna spent $200cad on a pair of shoes rn if I’m being honest.

Put on some fast paced songs, and I will swing these forwards, backwards, inwards, outwards, overhead lasso style, double-time, and that’s not counting the variations of footwork. It is fun and creative. Holding your elbows close to your sides your further out also works your arms differently. I’m over 50 and can no longer jump for so long with traditional ropes but with these I can. My arm muscles get a good burn, and I still engage my abs due to the weights.

Jump rope is amazing and great for your cardio, coordination and feet / calves But it can be high impact depending on what your jumping on and the moves your doing I used to jump rope alot but changed to mostly rowing for a fitness perspective as its basically zero impact, worked the whole body and helps build / maintain muscle and can be done everyday where as jump rope requires recovery after a few hard sessions But 100% jump rope is great to keep you interested and change things up

I found the open cross easier to learn initially, but the Floyd Mayweather cross easier for consecutive jumps. Simply because at the end of the jump, your hands end up in a more natural position (for me). So its easier mentally to start the next jump without getting confused.

This was a timely video because i commented on one more recent when you were teaching the double-under cross-over. But I find that I have to put more into spinning the Money Rope harder to get it to move since it's lighter. It actually feels slower than the 1/4 lb rope I usually use. Unless it's all in my head. My 1/2 lb rope does move slower. I have three knots in the Money rope to get the right length. I just need to practice with it more. I'll use it to warmup before my regular HIIT sessions with the 1/4 & 1/2 lb ropes.

I have multiple ropes with the Rush rope being one of them. All my other ropes are weighted so I've gotten used to their timing, momentum, and how much wrist I need to use to spin it. But the Rush rope is so light that I seem to have to work harder to get it moving. It also seems to be affected more by the recoil from the floor than the weighted cables ropes. My stall mats in my garage gym have a small raised diamond pattern and I'm convinced it affects how the rope the recoils and messes it up as opposed to a smooth surface. Maybe it's all in my head .🤷🏾‍♂
