I wrecked my hands and nails trying to clean this shelf the "right" way. Those clips are useless unless you are going to hang your fridge upside down. Gravity and goods hold the shelf in place. Those clips snapped off easily with a gentle prying motion... being careful not to push on the glass shelf. If you need to move the fridge just tape that shelf down for the moving truck.

I took the two rear tabs off at each corner to pop out the glass and leave the frame in the door. I can still clean all I need to without messing with that stupid design near the water filter. Someone should be fired for designing this mess and their boss for giving it the ok. Thanks for the video.

MAJOR TIP TO AVOID HAVING TO GO THROUGH THS PROCESS AGAIN OR EVERY TIME YOU NEED TO CLEAN UNDER THE GLASS! After you remove the shelf as outlined in this video (BTW, GREAT HELPFUL VIDEO!) and after removing the clips and glass DO NOT REINSTALL THE CLIPS! I reinstalled the shelf without inserting the glass AFTER the shelf was in place I simply slid the glass under the fixed guide clips then slowly lowered the glass in place along the back of the shelf. So next time you need to clean the glass you simply lift the glass up and out from under from the fix guides. NO MORE NEED TO REMOVE THE WHOLE SHELF AGAIN!

A lot of questions about that! The secret is that the front of the glass is underneath a plastic lip so you have scooch it back just a tad so that you can lift the front edge of the glass. I had to accomplish the scooch from underneath.

After you remove the clips, (by the way DO NOT PUT THEM BACK IN), FROM UNDERNEATH the glass, push it back towards the back of the refrigerator, then press upward on the glass near the front of the refrigerator. The glass is secured in the front under a seal that's only like an with maybe an 8th to a quarter inch ... Like a half a centimeter to free the glass from that lip then you can lift the front edge of the glass up... This is another point at which a third hand would come in handy! And you might have to remove the next shelf above to achieve this maneuver. You will need to raise the side of that bottom sheet of glass about 45 degrees such that the side under the ice maker remains low and the opposite side about 45 degrees higher, SLOWLY!, and you will have to get it past the door hinge first on one side, while carefully maintaining the 45 degrees slope to fully remove the glass. I am solo with hand injury. Thawing beef dripped down along perimeter and it is all discolored under rim of glass. Watched multiple videos. No way in heck can I manage so I guess I am going to be putting down shelf paper so I don't have to look at it

This is by far the most inconvenient and frustrating refrigerator I've ever tried to clean. I absolutely do not recommend this fridge if you actually want to clean it.

Unless you are Hercules or have strong hands forget taking the drawer out. I tried a pliers, using both thumbs to squeeze the tabs, nothing worked. 😩. Worst designed refrigerator to clean. 😬

How did you take the clips out? The clips holding the glass in place. Those are very hard to get out

Those are difficult. Screwdrivers, chopsticks, coins, ... many things have been used. the important thing to know is there is an angle that makes it easier to remove. This clip is used to protect the glass during shipping. Being too forceful can break the glass. Leave the clip out after removal as it is no longer needed.

I used like a flat nose plier to push the tabs in. Much easier. I broke one. Oops. Not a big deal. I noticed the water filter container was not secured to the bottom of the fridge. I would have to disconnect it to do so and I'm not doing that. Thanks for the video

thanks for putting this up. Very helpful. Be careful when removing the plastic part as that is very hard and can break easily. It has to be pushed from bottom

remove plastic clips from underneath at the rear in each corner Do not put them back in!!! they were there only for shipping purposes. Chop sticks, screw driver, needle nose pliars... slide glass backward towards the rear of the refrigerator... just enough so that the glass clears that front rim... like 5 milimeters ... guessing next, from underneath push the front of the glass shelf up and then you must .. from underneath on right side side lift the entire piece of glass on a 45 degree angle so that you can then pull it out of the refrigerator!
