Boring.... I cruise on NCL 6 times a year and Virgin Voyages the remainder as a senior citizen. Im on Encore for te 2nd. time Jan 26, '25, with friends. I have been cruising since 1989 -- what should I take away from this VLOG?

Have any changes occured to the Haven?

Since we are not in the Haven, we cannot see what they have done. NCL released a statement before drydock that list the planned changes to Haven...Resulting in the growing demand for the three-bedroom suites aboard Norwegian Prima® , Norwegian Viva® and Norwegian Joy® , Norwegian Encore’s Premier Owner’s Suites with a Large Balcony in The Haven by Norwegian® will be expanded from two bedrooms to three. Additionally, these two suites will include three and a half bathrooms; a fully renovated living room, master bedroom and outdoor balcony furniture; and a new separate dining room.

Thanks for the update along with the videos. I'm going to miss Los Lobos and the gelato place that was on deck 5 as both of those were favorites. But, even with the changes I think the Encore is still one of my favorite ships and we will be doing the repositioning cruise in October 2025 (again).

I can’t wait to see your upcoming on what was completed in dry dock.. We are getting on March 30th for Panama and doing a b2b. Can you share who the cruise director is? And how long they will be on. Thank you

I repeatedly ask myself why, if embarkation time officially starts at noon across almost every sailing, why the check in time slots start at 10/10:30. I was so surprised on disembarking both of my cruises last year, how many folks were rushing the terminal to get in as my sailing folks were still trying to get off and out of the drop off area.

Good question. We have actually seen time slots starting at 9:30. Seems like many people do not understand that it is not the boarding time.

I was in an aft-facing balcony as well (floor 15) before the dry dock sailing, unfortunately, we experienced noise during the renovations at all hours. So sad they are getting rid of that portion of the observation lounge, I was on the Encore twice this year, that area was the main reason, I rebooked. I wish I had known about the changes before booking, I may have changed my mind and opted to book a different ship/sailing.

Will be taking an Alaska Cruise in April. May or may not opt for H20. Not into specialty dining. Nice seeing older opinions. I'm a senior and hard to find info sometimes. Thanks

They have quite a few game sets that are in the library but not sure about mah jong. There were people that brought sets and were always looking for others to play

I'll be on the leg back to Miami! Solo traveler, booked a Solo Balcony (barely extra ££!) they moved me to Deck 13 BA category but with Solo privileges. Was interested in the upgrade bid to a Haven large cabin, but not happy to pay the £6-700 per person twice ...... They target Solo Travelers, but the upgrades still are for 2 people per cabin. Bizarre!

We are on the same return trip and already had a balcony cabin. Our options to bid were Haven and the minimum was too much. Glad you got the upgrade and see you on board.

In this video we talk about the luggage tags. Sometimes they mail them but usually you print your own from a link during online check-in. Then we talk about, how to attach them while traveling. Just came across this tag holders that are specifically designed for the NCL self printed tags. In this vid, we talk about things to discuss with your cabin steward once onboard. On FB, someone mentioned that they arranged getting the coffee maker, mattress pad and bed configuration pre-cruise. They did this by talking with their NCL PCC (Personal Cruise Consultant). Not sure if it can be done when booking through others.
