What do you mean what software am I using? Arma Reforger Tools is the software. I'm not fully understanding what you mean by tools/buttons as well. Creating the world is the very beginning before you start creating your project.

Ooh this is what I've been looking for, trying to edit the main building parts for conflict like bases/fuel/ radio antenna etc. This gets me on the way I think. it's such an inherited waterfall system thats hard to trace sometimes.

Bra I only got lucky because the Fallujah map acutally uses the US>Buildingservice perfab so I used that and saw all those other ones. If it wasn't for that map maker I would still be very lost on how to edit that stuff lol.

Id love to know how to change the built radio distance in a custom conflict mode. It's easy to change the base radio distance, but I'm having a problem changing the built radio distance. The radio relay you place down in building mode.

Not the main tent, its easy to change the main tent distance. the one you build by hand. it reaches out way to far on a smaller map.

hey! loving this series. so once i got to the test phase, i was able to spawn in and capture the point, but at no point did AI spawn before hand or when i started the test. did i do something wrong? 8

Thanks broski I appreciate it! Sounds like one or two things: 1) You didn't put down SCR_AiWorld Navemesh correctly or 2) You may have deactivated the AI in the base component. If you are really unsure I can def take a look. Feel free to join my discord and give me a DM and Ill take a look!

Ah okay yeah those are created by hand fully. So the guy who made it used a the base "GameMode" managers and applied his own SCRs to make it all work. Any gamemode that isn't Deathmatch, Conflict, or GM you will need to create the gamemode manager yourself. EX: Overthrow, RP Life servers, Dynamic Ops etc etc.

If I make a mission using the scenario framework setup and then go into game master, what am I missing out on? Thanks again

Thanks homie! The main difference is the managers baked into the map by the creator. For instance on Kunar if you download the map you can go to "Senarios" and instantly play the GameMaster gamemode. If you wanted to create GM missions or "Zeus" missions but customize it the GM world will have all the settings and managers setup already for that. However, the downside is you can't remove or edit any of the settings/mangers the map creator put down. If you wanted to make a gamemode like Conflict, team deathmatch, or even something custom like Overthrow or an RP server you would want to use the standard world. Hope this helps broski!

Since Arma Life is its own "Gamemode" it would be using its own Gamemode compiled by its own SCR. Its not in the base game SCR/gamemode list. More than likely they used a default bare bones Gamemode Manager. Kinda like Antistasi, Overthrow, and Arma Life the creators coded and scripted it all from scratch. Pretty "expert" level stuff. Having knowledge in C++ would be very helpful in doing stuff like that.

If you're using your own map, select the nav mesh icon in the toolbar, select nav mesh tool in the bottom right corner, select the type of nav mesh, and generate. Create a nav mesh folder inside your project, name the nav mesh, and save. Then choose the generated nav mesh for the corresponding NavmeshWorldComponent.

For PVP focused mods and servers, is it OK to ignore navmesh since I don't plan on using any AI? or does that break something. So far I've been getting along just fine on my custom map.

Navemesh is just for AI. So if on PVP the players put down a barracks/camp the AI will not be able to be spawned or move around/react to enemy players.

One think I keep trying to do. I want to replace the tent in conflict with a Radio. basically make the prefab stuff smaller so I can have smaller areas for conflict mode. but when I duplicate and edit prefabs like the baseUS etc the tent comes back. I was able to get it to work 2 major updates ago with just a radio, but im still getting lost trying to fix that.

Are you talking about the command tent or the radio backpack? I do remember seeing a video a few updates ago showing how to change the command tent composition but since then A lot has changed in the Editor. I too would like to be able to change the compositions of stuff. Ex: a modern looking command tent instead of the 1980's style for the modern day conflicts I make.

Do non-HQ bases with radios extend the radio range as well? For example, if you had the HQ (base 1) overlap with another base (base 2), and then added another base (base 3) that overlapped with only the second base (base 2) would the third base (base 3) have radio connectivity? Is the purpose of radio relays just to extend the radio without having to make a base? Can they be captured like a normal base? I'm a bit confused because if one side is attacking and takes over the radio relay, and that radio is set to other faction, the attacking force will not have radio connectivity to attack the next base that's connected to the relay.

Non-HQ bases should extend the radio range in 1.2. The HQ building needs it as a way to tell the tasking manager what to do. That means as players capture points it will keep extending the range. The radio relay is a way to extend the capture range for the players without the need of a non-hq base. bases will generally have a smaller radio range then radio relay points. EX: If BLUFOR wanted to do a SpecOp strike on OPFOR they would want to take control of a radio relay and capture a base further away. Radio relays are captured by interreacting with the box and changing the frequency radio code. Just simply walk up and hold "F" or whatever the action button is for Xbox and wait till the action is completed. Simple as.

@@svenmartin69 Thanks for the explanation. None of the servers I play on implement the radio relays so I had no idea you could change the frequency code. Haven't seen them in popular mod maps either. It's a cool alternative to just capping bases to extend radio communications.

Where can you change the supply capacity of the BTR? For example, the BTR holds 230 supplies but if you wanted to change that to 500. I've checked SCR_UniversalInventoryStorageComponent and the SCR_EditableVehicleComponent. Thanks for the lessons!

@@dylanwright907 good question! I believe it only increases for each crate that is placed on the vic. For example the BtR has 3-5 of those crates. If you were to say put down more it would increase the size. I haven't found a way to increase the hold size for each individual crate but if someone can figure that out I would love to know! Now thinking a bit more maybe prefab that crate and within it might be a supply amount to hold. I'm not sure but hey worth a start!

Got it. Inside SlotManagerComponenet, under lists, there are Supply Storage slots for the BTR. Override SupplyCrate_01_Vehicle, inside SCR_ResourceComponent, change resource value current and resource value max. Replaced the old supply crate with the new prefab and it worked. Also to add additional crates on the BTR, inside SlotManagerComponent, add slot, EntitySlotInfo, and copy all the data from one of the pre-made slots, and add the new prefab obviously. Just change the Y value to stack above another crate.

I'd love to see you do more mod reviews like this, I noticed every modlist I look for have no reviews/showcases. It's mainly 2-3hr streams of them playing which doesn't tell me much n for those like me downloading to HDD. Videos like this can save HOURS/DAYS of downloading, btw this is an amazing list! Just wish it had modded player homes cause the standard ones aren't enough for my adventures cause I love to collect and display. However, the only lists that provide player homes anymore are lists that are more vanilla or just have OP loot/combat. But I like playing lists like HOS that are more on the lines of realism survival and overall balanced for a better RPG.

You know what I forgot to showcase the homes! The list has more objects in the homes and such. Like the Windhelm has a bigger upstairs and a side room for trophies and such. I do plan on doing more. I was going to showcase a Morrowind modpack from these guys but there were some problems with it and didn't feel comfortable making a video on it. Camboi is always updating HOS and taking suggestions. Join their discord and see if adding more homes is possible!

I think this modpack contains Jaxons Positioner mod, which acually lets you pick up and position any item in the game (you could steal the Jarls bed!), so you could leave one of the Hearthfire homes completely empty and manually decorate it exactly how you like it, it even lets you "lock" all items in place in a cell so no more accidentally knocking over your meticulously placed bowl of fruit :)

I was using a 2070 ti and I7 processor. I'm sure your 3060 ti can handle this list pretty easily. Honestly, I didn't do much performance wise for this modlist so you won't have any issues.
