Hey! Thanks for watching👍 Approximately for our 14 days road trip, it was around $2k SGD😊 A really good deal if you asked me. We even topped up for additional camping tables and chairs but did not end up using as it was too cold😂

Hi Estelle! Fellow Singaporean here, going on a campervan trip to NZ South Island in end Aug-mid Sept 2025. May I know during which month your trip was? Just wanna get a feel of how cold it can be. I'm also planning to do freedom camping/ camping in DOC unpowered sites - is it painfully cold esp overnight?

Hello Amanda!:) My trip was from 14-29Sep! The weather really varied when we were in the city vs mountaineous area like Mt Cook! With the heater, the nights were actually alright. The van also had hot water bag & fleece blanket which helped as well! Of course we also brought along Uniqlo Heat tech, and those packet hand warmers for sustenance👍 Weather can vary from -9°c to about 0°C in mountain areas but can be around ~14°C in cities. It is definitely warmer in the sun as well compared to when it rained! Actually this time we projected to be spring but actually some areas were still in winter 😂

are utensils, cutlery and plates provided in the shared kitchen area in driftaway queenstown campground or do you have to bring your own in shared kitchen?
@EstellelyyАй бұрын
Hey! Thanks for watching😊 there are pots, pans, peelers, spatulas, soap, and cleaning sponges given in the kitchen. But for sharp items like knives or utensils like fork and spoons we brought our own from the van!👍

After visiting both Nintendo Worlds in Japan and Hollywood, I feel that both parks are better in their own ways. In Japan, there is a lot more different activities to do, with more variety of different foods that are way better than Hollywood's Kinopio Cafe (Except for the Burgers, Hollywood does them better), they also have their own unique headbands which japan's headbands are better, while hollywood's shirts and hats are better. And rides like Mario Kart, compared to Hollywood, takes less time to line up for than in Hollywood. If you are lucky, you can get in to Japan's Nintendo World as early as 7:30am in the morning. However, unlike Hollywood, there are some days where you MUST book a Timed Entry Ticket (Virtual Line) in order to get to the park, and sometimes you must go to a specialized kiosk to book them. Meeting mascots (except Kinopio) is much stricter, due to the fact that unlike Hollywood, you are not allowed to have your phone to take pictures with mascots, you must stand in a specific position when you meet mascots, you must pose how the mascot poses for pictures, and you must pay 6000 yen for pictures. While in Hollywood, it's just you interacting with the mascot, the staff are allowed to use your phone for picture taking, and you are allowed to greet the mascots with how you like to greet them (plushies). When I met Princess Peach in Japan, the line takes longer compared to Hollywood (30 minutes in Japan). And she would just interact with the staff member every time and only interact with me based on what the staff tells her to do for the first 30 seconds of the meet and greet to fill in that time. When I even tried to greet her with my plushies, she just ignores them. When I met Princess Peach in Hollywood the line is way shorter (2-15 minutes), and she is even willing to get to know more of my different plushies, and with Kinopiko being her favourite, she would always be happy to hold her and hug her for the picture-taking. The meet and greet is straight to the point and no nonsense.

Hi, want to ask you buy the fast pass 4 including the HP and Nintendo right? But the time difference is quite abit I see. At the HP did you take the forbidden journey? And from HP walking distance to Nintendo is it far? Because I get the fast pass 4 also but their time difference is only 30min the entry time. Thanks.
@Estellelyy Жыл бұрын
Yes my fast pass included both! I took the forbidden journey:) both HP and Nintendo is right beside each other but I would say you need about 10mins to walk over as the walk in towards individual areas are a bit long.. especially if there is a crowd in the way. but with the entry time, you can ride the rides quite fast haha👍🏻 so should be alright✌🏻
@HLHOP701 Жыл бұрын
But you have to walk thru the castle first right to be on the firbidden journey ride. After that I have to rush to Nintendo
