That produced a fairly broad radius bend. I expect it would work better if the metal job was heated red hot, which would allow the wedge to deform the job completely. Cheers Rob.

Cheers Rob. You can't beat heat when it comes to bending steel however as I do not have a heat source readily available it does what I need it too. I also find I can get the bend precisely where I want it and easily adjust my bends.

@danoschannelАй бұрын
Hey Dezz. Thanks for your comment. Bến Tre is about 85km southwest of HCMC. Like you, we also prefer to avoid the tour company's, we seem to get a more authentic experience that way. We got the contact details for this lady from the owner of Homestay Nam Hàm Luông which was an absolutely brilliant quiet little place to stay. Hit that subscribe button and check out more of our adventures. Enjoy your trip my friend. Vietnam is a great place to visit and is very much in its tourism infancy meaning not everything will be perfect all the time. The plus side of this is many places are yet to be spoilt by 10's of thousand of tourists a week.
@destinationdezz1588Ай бұрын
@@danoschannel hope it stays that way! Last question: did you use your own mode of transportation? Will GRAB bring me to this location ?
@danoschannelАй бұрын
We did have our own motorbike Dezz, but GRAB would certainly take you there. Personally I would recommend hiring a motorbike for the extra freedom, go where you want, when you want; you can hire them in HCMC pretty cheaply, around $10 - $15 AUD per calendar day. If you do take a bus or something like that down to Bến Tre, most homestays have bicycles available and with the Mekong Delta being so flat it is a great way to get around. If you are hiring a motorbike yourself getting around is pretty easy, the road infrastructure is mostly good and the Vietnamese are mostly pretty good drivers. When travelling around Google maps (make sure you download offline maps) is a must and most importantly, stay hydrated 😉

I've confused myself. My 120 Prado doesn't have any coil springs at the rear.... What the? Air is deflating overnight and then rear end sits low. Start up and the rear end comes back up...
@danoschannelАй бұрын
Would your Prado happen to be the Grande by any chance? Mine is a GXL. The Grande comes as standard with TEMS (Toyota Electrically Modulated Suspension) shocks with coils at the front and self levelling airbags at the rear. Bags going down overnight will have a small leak. Get the soapy water out and see what you find. Might be an airline. But more than likely a bag.

@@danoschannel that's the one. Just bought it yesterday...

Prado's are great little vehicles mate that are super comfortable, you will love it. I am aware that the Grande is supposed to have a "kneel" feature to lower to bags making it easier to get in and out. Not exactly sure how that one works or if it is something that can be set automatically.
