Lying Dragon Mountain is located close the village of Tam Cốc which is a small town in the north of Vietnam renowned for its stunning natural scenery and cultural significance.
Challenge your strength and stamina by climbing the 500 rock stairs to the peak of the mountain. At the peak, take a moment to watch the boats coast down the Ngo Dong River with panoramic views of the beauty of Tam Coc, the vast rice fields, picturesque karst mountains, splendid landscapes and the Lying Dragon Mountain statue stretching out across the jagged limestone ridge. This view alone is why many travelers make the trip to Tam Coc Vietnam!
Adjacent to the dragon you’ll also see the Quan Am Statue there which represents the Goddess of Mercy.
It is worth noting that there will be many locals trying to pull you into their personal parking places as you travel into Mua Cave. Several even jumped into the middle of the road and tried to force us to park at their properties. Do your best to avoid them and head as far as you can to the end. Not only will this put you much closer to Mua Caves and the Lying Dragon Mountain view, but you can park your bike almost right next to the ticket booth!
Entry is not expensive and you can spend all day there if you like. It does get very busy especially once the buses start to roll in and around sunset, sunrise or very early morning would be my pick of the times to visit if you want the place pretty much to yourself.
I hope that you enjoy the video. Be sure to check out my other videos from Vietnam, and don't forget to like 👍 share comment and subscribe if you are a legend!
