The solder came off of my daughters retainer and the ortho said that they have to remake the entire retainer. This is her 4th retainer. I'm done. Is this something I can do on my own or mail off to have done somewhere?

I make my own retainers, but occasionally they are slack fitting. I use either 1mm or 1.5mm sheet I am confused as to what I'm doing wrong, they are vaccum form tight around the mould, so in theory these should be tight fitting every time. Any help appreciated.

Which screws are you using? Try Leone, I have done about 15000 screws, never had to use a separator, always turn without any hitches. Cheers from kfo- total in Germany

Holy crap I wish my retainers I just received were this nice. The ones i have are slicing up my tongue at the top back of my mouth. I ordered 3 extras so maybe I'll take a stab at it at home with my dremel tool. Great video.

So do you keep the baseplate material in the essix or do you remove that after the suck down is completed? If so, how does that usually match in the mouth? In our office, we usually just keep the pontic tooth longer towards the gingival.

I'm a dental tech.for 49 years.I mix the stone or plaster at a very thick consistency and run my stone or plaster in each tooth from the lingual instead of running it in from tooth to tooth.I've found this usually prevents small voids in the teeth which sometime occurs. If the the impression has some pin holes in it sometimes voids do occur no matter how carefull your are.

I am planning for new small project for manufacturing plastic ropes but there is a smell and i want to control and treat this smell to avoid disturbance for the near people. Is there are any available cheap filters which may help me to control this bad odor from the chimney. Regards,
