Probably one of my favorite enemies of all time. There's something so unsettling about how it seems to scream in abject terror while it obliterates anything that catches its attention. It's animated so incredibly well too. Not the geometric shapes, though those are cool. I'm talking about the laser. The first shot it takes at 01, where buildings have holes melted in them before it even _fires_ really emphasizes how powerful this thing is. And then you watch it melt half a mountain. Just a completely incomprehensible, utterly unstoppable force.

I still think the original show is better than this remake

I always found ramiel to be the most creepy angel. I think its the lack of features, no face, noe eyes, no body, just a menacing blue diamond that can transform. Even the fact that its blue is creepy, because blue is such a calming color.

Ramiel was the only thing that I think was really improved by the higher budget animation in this movie compared to the show, everything else felt like it was missing the minimalist charm of the original animation, but Ramiel was a 100% justified and appreciated improvement (I’ve yet to watch the rest of the Rebuilds so I hope the animation remains high budget while respecting the tone of what they’re portraying, which I’ve heard isn’t going to be a problem anyway because the rest of the Rebuilds apparently diverge from the show significantly).
