Something about Goosen telling Chico he had to get inside was like a Hollywood movie… just seemed so cliche and scripted, yet as real and honest as it gets. Fights like these are why some moments in boxing history gain legendary status.

Pelea a poca distancia, cuerpo a cuerpo pero sin amarrar en ninguna ocasión!!! Al momento de la caída, Corrales perdió más tiempo en tratar de soltar el protector bucal que en tratar de levantarse!! En fin, muy buenos peleadores los dos, pero castillo supo hacer su tarea peleandole en corto👍

The best still do fight the best Bud fought Spence usyk fought fury Devin fought Loma and so on and so on stop acting like every fight back in the day was a classic. Castillo and Chico fought each other and they both fought mayweather but they also fought a lot of bums and no names just like every other fighter in history

It was sad this was a non-title bout because both men didn't make weight. Jose was at 147, Chico was at 149. They were both above the 135lbs. Limit.😢

Brought to my attention that Castillo came in 3.5 lbs over the contractual weight which was a bit unfair. Corrales took the fight anyway. Unfair for one fighter to have to cut down 3.5 more lbs and it probably did make a difference these guys were so close in ability. Did not help that Corrales fought Castillo's fight inside rather than using his reach and speed on the outside.

Castillo got over confident in the first fight and got KOd. I have to say the ref gave Corrales too much time twice or it might have gone the other way. There was no doubt in this fight, Castillo won the fight with a KO. Both fighters came to fight and put on a display of what boxing is supposed to be. A third fight never happened. Too bad.

Corrales was getting beat up. Joe Goosen trained and managed a lot of good fighters and championship fights. He did not complain or argue with the ref at all.
