There's exactly one thing I don't like about this video. The guitar is out of tune.
@nicktwyford19 күн бұрын
I can assure you it's not, if anything, it's just not played very well. But thank you for flagging it on a public forum. How kind of you.
@Jasper_444419 күн бұрын
Apparently I offended someone here, no idea how or why. But what I said is the truth: that guitar IS out of tune. Coming from a professional musician.
@nicktwyford19 күн бұрын
@@Jasper_4444 I record the music for Rob's videos. They're just a bit of fun but I take them seriously and love doing them. Sometimes they're quite a lot of takes as the red light syndrome takes hold! It might be how I recorded them, as I am not a professional musician, nor do I have access to professional recording equipment. So to see the comment you wrote here, formatted in the way it was, with the nice dramatic break in your text, did not make me feel good at all. That's your how and why.
@Jasper_444419 күн бұрын
I apologise for having offended you. The "nice dramatic break" is just the way I write, and I didn't realise the musician in question might be reading along. Stupid mistake of me. Let me add that I really appreciate the music, apart from the one aspect I mentioned. The atmosphere and style are very fitting. Also, I recognise the "red light syndrome" and I understand the burden of having to tune between takes. However, I stand by my observation. Thank you for making the music, and thank you for calling out my poor comment. I'm learning here. Good luck. 👍

@@Jasper_4444 thank you Jasper, I really appreciate that. No harm done. Pleased you enjoy Rob's videos, they're excellent aren't they? All the very best.

What a fantastic video of an amazing railway! Never heard of it before. I cannot believe this is only open to the public one day per year. So many fascinating locomotives to experience. Unfortunately, I'm not in the UK so I won't be able to visit it.

Love the video. Great to catch up with you at the show and I hope I didn’t monopolise your time too much. Your Rheidol looks even better in the flesh/metal. There were some really great models to see. Great to see the rest of the GMES chaps and the layout at the show.

I was absurdly heartened to see you’re a relatively young fellow, like me. Well, I’m 52 right now but have been relatively young for a long time now. One always pictures the guys who build and run live steam garden railways as being retirees with white hair and beards. Nowt wrong with that, mind, but it’s nice to see young fellows like us (I have been young for quite some time now) doing great things to keep the hobby alive.

Very relaxing video. Just love the Locomotion rail cars sure would like to find one of those. Superb narration lifts the video to another level.

Lovely scenery and rolling stock. I don’t have enough garden space nor a particularly good climate for it here in Canada but I do enjoy building 16mm rolling stock kits and have a “Billy” engine for some future time when I might live somewhere else. Therefore I really enjoy seeing real garden railways. Yours looks much the way I hope mine will someday. My rolling stock is mostly IP engineering, as they until recently were willing to ship to Canada. Oh well, ridiculous hobby for me to have considering where I live. But I do love the garden scenery. I appreciate your realistic curves and roadbed as well as the well placed buildings. Do I detect a hidden flywheel in your goods train? I have one of those as well, it makes my manually controlled Billy behave very well on my temporarily-laid track. I find a blob of marine grease, the kind made for outboard motors, on the gears make it almost silent. Anyway cheers and thanks for the videos. I did enjoy the voice-over.

Hi Rob Like you I bought the same shelving a couple of years ago & just to let you know that the mdf shelves sag in the middle so before you experience it brace the bottoms I used 1”x2” battens to reinforce them and prevent your tools etc falling through
