CGR 'Midget' At The Bayfields Light Railway - 16mm Scale Live Steam

A wonderfull meths-fired model of a Cape Government Railways 'Type C'
0-4-0t, known at 'Midget' visiting The Bayfields Light Railway.
The prototype was built in 1902 by Manning Wardle & Co, for service in South Africa - mainly on shunting duties on the line from Port Elizabeth to Avontuur. 'Midget' was then sold to West Rand Consolidated Mines in 1921 and after that becoming a museum exhibit. The loco is currently preserved at 'Gold Reef City' theme park.
The model is a 16mm scale meths-fired potboiler, built by talented Keith Skillicorn. See GardenRail issues 261 and 262 for a full article on the building of this lovely engine.

Like the Ashover coaches too. We have two of the surviving three on the Lincolnshire coast light railway at Skegness. One I,ve taken many turns on as guard in recent years the other is in the proccess of being restored at the moment. Love the way you have you're railway set up you get such smooth running, and have some great models.
