Betsy’s Setup: Race weight - 3665, Stage 1 3.8L V6, 7.8:1 Compression, 16 degrees of timing, TA aluminum heads, 224 billet cam, TA headers, Precision 6766, PTC converter, Cal Hartline Tuned Fast XFI, 120lb injectors, 220lb valve springs, 100 wet shot of Nos, & run on 35-40lbs of boost! The new PTE 6870 dual bb billet wheel Turbo will be put on soon. Should run close to 140 on boost & 145 or so on the 100 shot of Nos (wet shot/single fogger)

She started valve floating and nosing over just before the 1000ft...just a bit to much boost w/ the Nos on the stock ecu setup she was running at the time. The car ran the same mph the pass before at a [email protected] with a 1.6 60’foot. The car now has a Fast XFI and is tuned by Cal Hartline. We haven’t had any issues with running her on the Nos now and we upped the jets a bit to a 100 shot instead of the 75 like she was running in this video.

So if you wanted to make it fair…a GN with the same v6 making a 1000+hp just like the Tesla…the Tesla wouldn’t have a chance. That 130k you’d have to spend to get a Model S would be a waist. We have a buddy who has a GN making 1000+hp at the wheels with all the original inter…AC & Heater…and is street driven daily.😌🤝

@@turbo6uickracingchannel still wouldn't hold a.chance the the 1000hp hell cat has a 1000hp still 2.7.60 it's hard to beat a car that doesn't need a transmission, I'd agree the gn was fast and the gnx was lighting fast for the time, but I was only pointing out the model 3 today would smoke a stock GN they do 3.5 0-60 vs like 5.7 and the model 3 is within the cost of a new truck,.again I've been in a couple GN I know what they can do

@@jamesmcfarland2636 see you can’t compare a 35 year old cars 0-60 times to cars of today…the technology is 10x more advanced…especially in a Tesla. Unless you make it fair and give the old GN the same power you can’t compare stock vs stock that simple. There are plenty of GN’s that make less then 1000hp and are 8 second cars at over 150 mph. Shit…a Buick guy that goes by the name “Silver Bullet” has a Buick that makes 850hp and runs 8.80@155. So yes a Buick with a 1000hp would easily beat a Plaid…these aren’t Hellcats or Demons…not even close to those boats. The video is on KZbin of his run if you need to see it.

I know your feelings got hurt when you saw one of your little Tesla offspring lose to a 35 year old grandmas Regal with a few bolt on parts so the fact that it’s giving you guys with these new AWD dual electric motor Tesla’s a hard time this many years later kills me😂😭. We actually have a few 1000hp+ Buick’s that would make a Tesla owner want to go back to the dealership and return their car and get their $130k back…you know a Buick that would actually be a fair race for a Plaid instead of this stock ass one you saw in the video. I’d definitely hope that if I spent $130k on a car that it run faster than low 9’s in the 1/4…I wouldn’t go around commenting on videos bragging about it because there are plenty of cars that’ll smoke a Plaid for 1/3 of that price and just as clean and streetable with AC & Heater as a Tesla so humble yourself bro.

You can always go bigger and better then what I recommend but if your shooting for a low 11 - high 10 second car boost only this what I’d recommend. Get a Precision 6262 dual bb billet wheel turbo, 3 inch down pipe, Precision stock location intercooler, ported stock heads or champion steel ported heads, 100lb valve springs, 80lb injectors, Bosch fuel pump, better fuel (93 & alky/e85/VP race gas), 22+lbs of boost, last thing would be a tune. Get a Turbo Tweak chip from Eric, get it tuned by the best man around Cal Hartline or a Holley EFI system.
