Darrin - Thanks for the video! I've recently started a campaign to replace all the old halogen bulbs on my truck with LEDs. That got me thinking about the fluorescent bulbs in my kitchen; and that's how I found your DIY video. Quick question: I know fluorescents use a ballast, and LEDs normally need a "driver". Is the driver for your LEDs built into the tube? Thanks.

FFS... Ask any *real* electrician how many times they've worked on live circuits. Some times you just don't have a choice, and some times the choice is made for expediency. The negative comments are from White Knights and Net Nannies who don't know how to do DIY projects themselves *but* have plenty of sage advice for everyone else that *actually* do things, build things, fix things... instead of just *talk* about them. For KZbin, most people will cut power, wear goggles, and other PPE but in real life, most of those same people won't bother. They're more worried about getting dinged by KZbin. Hosing off the fins is crucial but it is also urgent to de-grease the fins. They have to be scrubbed with a de-greaser. If not, it will cause air bubbles into the line and badly slow the flow down. I neglected this because I didn’t know but once the fins were totally cleaned, the system was perfect

Not too difficult, but you do need to be careful that everything is connected correctly. Good video…except for bypassing the simple act of turning off the correct breaker switch. I’ve seen many electricians do that. It’s not very professional. Their just trying to save a little time.

I dont know. Check again and look for little raised pcs of wood. If you see them they are caps. The screws are located under these raised circles. Use pliers or screwdriver to remove the caps. I took the Grill to the beach on a camping trip 8/14/2022. I was not impressed at all with the Griddle attachment. 70 degrees in the morning and it took me about 1 full hour to cook Bacon, Hash Browns, and eggs for 2 people. Way too long! The griddle does not get hot enough (Waited 10-15 minutes until grill was 325-350) when it does get to a decent temp and you put food on... The temperature drops (200-225) so much and the recovery time is way too long. I had fire box on 100% on high. The next day/morning I used the PLANCHA attachment and it worked 100 times better. I may never use the Griddle going forward. I may have wasted my money on this attachment. The burner/firebox and BBQ attachment and Plancha attachment all are great!!! They missed with the Griddle attachment in my opinion. I may sell it on Ebay. I will never use it. It's not worth the propane or time to wait for this attachment to work properly.

Looks like your filter is a 720 mine is a 620 and says it need 7.5lbs of DE. I called 3 different Leslie’s stores and they all told me that the cup I bought - the same size you are using is equal to 1/2 LB of DE. That being said, you should be using 14-15 scoops as they told me I need to put in at least 12 scoops up to 15. Seems like a lot! By their calculations you should be using 17 or 18 scoops. Your thoughts?
@slambonie2 жыл бұрын
I apologize but am no pool guy but I put in 7 scoops sometimes 8. I think my filter is a 48sq filter 12-15 scoops definitely seems like a LOT. The blue scoop says to use 10 scoops but my pool is fine with 7 well rounded or 8 scoops. I am sorry I can't help you more. But I agree you that 12-15 scoops is a bit much. Maybe call other pool companies or do a little more research on line. Maybe a Hayward pool forum??? If you have the same filter that I have (shown in the video) Try 8 scoops and see how it goes. Like I mentioned, I am not a pool guy. I am just trying to help people save money and I honestly don't have all the answers. Sorry about that.

I tried wiring to a hot/neutral but the wiring I did tripped the breaker the lights were on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
@slambonie2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. 1st off I am not an electrician but I have played with electrical for some time but I would recommend as long as you have a hot, nutural, and a ground that's all you need. You do not need to go through all of the switches on the lights you just bypass the switches. Except for your main. To be honest it's difficult to answer your question without seeing what you have but there are some other videos on KZbin that might be able to help you from professionals. I apologize I can't help you but If you want to disable the switches that should be very simple to do. You just don't connect to the switchs, just continue the wires to the light bulbs.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT... DO NOT use vaseline/petroleum jelly on/around/near o-rings. it will cause the rubber to crack and you will destroy the o-ring requiring you to replace it. what you do want to use is a SILICONE based lubricant. it is safe for plastics and rubber. Alladins Magic Lube is what you want to be using when you "grease" o-rings. its also food grade so its safe.
