I think for things like delivery and other menial work, it'd be better to have non-human shaped robots (if we're set on having robots at all), because human shaped robots are wildly inefficient for most tasks. Maybe one day they'll be good enough for consistent strain work, but still probably never better than robots designed for specific tasks.

In the US we call this slave labor. I just don't understand how the Chinese people accept this forced labor. We need to import more Chinese people into the US so we can cut minimun wages to $1.5 an hour. China has an overcapacity of people.

People have to do these jobs because life is hard and there are very little jobs for them to do otherwise. If a delivery is only 1 yuan how much "bonus" do you really think they will get. Imagine that they need to do 5000 deliveries of 1 yuan to earn 10k. That's like 166 deliveries per day without any day off if each delivery takes on average 15mins. Not to mention that this is a physical job and that is challenging to your body.
@oDrDragon
@oDrDragon 29 күн бұрын
15 mins is the waiting time for the buyer, not meaning that the delivery guy needed 15 mins to complete this delivery. 15 mins ride should cost around 7 yuan I think

My Chinese friends shared that delivery drivers' salaries aren’t the lowest, and they often earn additional bonuses as rewards. While they’re not wealthy and work incredibly hard, it seems their efforts are recognized and rewarded fairly well according to what I’ve heard from Chinese people 😊

How much are delivery workers paid? Do they need second or third jobs to scrape by? If deliveries only cost 1 Yuan and take between 10-15 minutes to complete, that does not paint a good picture for the lives of the people delivering your coffee.
@businessmalie
@businessmalie Ай бұрын
Great question! Most drivers earn around 10,000 yuan a month (~$1,370 USD), which isn’t bad for Shanghai. They also get bonuses after every 5 orders, which adds up fast with the high demand and short distances. Most only work this job, but some do put in long hours and end up doing 10h shifts 😬
@bjrnsrensen8456
@bjrnsrensen8456 29 күн бұрын
I've read that most earn around 7,000 yuan, and only those working every day, without breaks, for 12 hours a day, manage to earn 10,000. In fact, a food delivery worker recently died in Hangzhou from exhaustion, working over 18 hours a day, trying to make ends meet. There's a lot of discussion about the welfare of delivery workers.
@addanametocontinue
@addanametocontinue 29 күн бұрын
How much do you THINK they get paid if the delivery fee is only $0.14? China has a lower cost of living than the US, but it's generally known that gig workers work long hours and scrape by. That's true in China, US, etc.

Can you teach part time? What do I need? I do not have a EFL course, but a native English speaker, plus college degree.
@businessmalie
@businessmalie Ай бұрын
Hi 💜Absolutely, you can teach part-time! Since you’re a native English speaker with a college degree, you’re already a great candidate. An EFL course like TEFL or TESOL can be helpful but isn’t always required for part-time roles. There are some great options for part-time teaching, like: Summer Camps - These usually run for about a month in the fall, spring, or summer, depending on the school. Private Schools - Part-time jobs here are less stressful than full-time ones, but they usually don’t offer visa support. With your qualifications, you’ve got a lot of possibilities.Good luck ☘️

This is not right!! You might not English native speakers but you must be fluent & have NO ACCENT!! Im not racism & not hateful but facts is facts!! Example, there are Nertherland speak English so good & so well but his GRAMMAR (written is lacking) & the way he/she pronounces have strong accents!! Do you think shools or student want to STUDY FROM THIS PERSON?? Theyre student & pay moneys to learn English!! Like you want learn Germany, do you learn it from GERMANY OR LEARN IT FROM A VIETNAMESE PERSON JUST STUDY GERMANY & TEACH YOU?? Im Vietnamese though 🇻🇳 Example, I dont might MEXICAN AMERICAN, INDIAN AMERICAN or CHINESE AMERICAN, KOREAN AMERICAN BORN & RAISE IN US, UK, CAN, they’re speak English from theirs kids & speak it as their first language!! But if theyre INDIAN living in India learn & speak English directly fews years & study aboard in US/UK/CAN college/uni (i mean English country) they still have DAMM THICK ACCENTS!! They might good at writing & grammar but for accents, its still very thick & harshly!! So as people pay for study, any shools or English center hired non English speakers, im dissapoints & wont chose study there!! This have nothing to do with race or nation!! In recent years, alots of people & family, parents is care about this topic!! Before ENGLISH TEACHER IN AROUND ASIA COUNTRY IS EASY, no degrees & no certification teachers!! There is alots of bad & terrible English teacher quality & even commit crimes in their country & run away to Southeast Asia. Fews years ago till now, alots shools is changing & hired teachers with degree & teachers certificate & English native speakers!! Gorvement also have more strict laws about this. If you’re foreign & young & want to teach English in ASIA FOR LONG TERM. I suggest people go bạc to their country for couple years & study in college. In long term it will help you alots!! If you chose stay in Asia country for long years & chose teach English is your career life!! In 5-10y laters, alots Asia will focus & fix this problem & strictly on foreigners English teachers. So alots of English teachers in small English center think dont need degrees & no need to update themselves because they still can find jobs & working as English teachers already. Once day the laws chance & strictly in near future, these type of teachers will get hit & wipe out.

I personally feel that Vietnam is more energetic. There are lots of small children and young people. When I go to any shops in Vietnam, the owner usually has their family members of small children or school kids in their shops. I feel that is an ideal style of human life. I feel Thailand is similar to Japan(both people are shy and don't talk too much, both countries have the problem of aging society and low birthrates, too much emphasis on cosmetic plastic surgeries )but Vietnam has something Japan has lost(family bond, number of children etc).
@mymaster2176

I am Japanese living in Thailand. I've been to Vietnam many times. I agree to your opinion that the service in Vietnam is faster. I often change clothes in a day (because I sweat a lot and I don't like to wear wet cloths) so I often go to the laundry shops. In Vietnam laundry can be done in a day without any extra charge whereas in Thailand, they usually charge extra. About padthai, I saw many local people eating it. I happened to hear a foreign student asking a Thai teacher if padthai is only for foreigners but the teacher clearly denied and said Thai people also eat it. I personally like Vietnam better than Thailand. One of the reasons is that Thailand is so crowded with foreign tourists. I feel the place is artificially unnaturally made for foreigners and the prices are so expensive. I'm a person who doesn't like crowded places and artificial touristic places (DaNang also has a popular night market but I don't like it. But Vietnam still has a lot of places for locals). Thai people don't mind small things and they can forgive others easy. This is a good virtue but sometimes it doesn't work positively(this is just my opinion)
