Exactly! It looks so real and human-like, but there’s just something slightly off that makes it feel strange.

Thanks for noticing💜💜 I actually work with a designer and a video editor who help me bring everything together. I’m glad you liked the recent videos-it’s been a team effort!

How much are delivery workers paid? Do they need second or third jobs to scrape by? If deliveries only cost 1 Yuan and take between 10-15 minutes to complete, that does not paint a good picture for the lives of the people delivering your coffee.

Great question! Most drivers earn around 10,000 yuan a month (~$1,370 USD), which isn’t bad for Shanghai. They also get bonuses after every 5 orders, which adds up fast with the high demand and short distances. Most only work this job, but some do put in long hours and end up doing 10h shifts 😬

I've read that most earn around 7,000 yuan, and only those working every day, without breaks, for 12 hours a day, manage to earn 10,000. In fact, a food delivery worker recently died in Hangzhou from exhaustion, working over 18 hours a day, trying to make ends meet. There's a lot of discussion about the welfare of delivery workers.

How much do you THINK they get paid if the delivery fee is only $0.14? China has a lower cost of living than the US, but it's generally known that gig workers work long hours and scrape by. That's true in China, US, etc.

Usa should learn how to be more considerate of there people in alot of those aspects and China needs to learn to let their people enjoy life and have time to relax

Totally agree-no country is perfect, and everyone has areas to work on. From my time in China, I’ve really seen how hardworking people here are, but I think a little more focus on work-life balance could make a big difference. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😊

People have to do these jobs because life is hard and there are very little jobs for them to do otherwise. If a delivery is only 1 yuan how much "bonus" do you really think they will get. Imagine that they need to do 5000 deliveries of 1 yuan to earn 10k. That's like 166 deliveries per day without any day off if each delivery takes on average 15mins. Not to mention that this is a physical job and that is challenging to your body.

15 mins is the waiting time for the buyer, not meaning that the delivery guy needed 15 mins to complete this delivery. 15 mins ride should cost around 7 yuan I think

My Chinese friends shared that delivery drivers' salaries aren’t the lowest, and they often earn additional bonuses as rewards. While they’re not wealthy and work incredibly hard, it seems their efforts are recognized and rewarded fairly well according to what I’ve heard from Chinese people 😊

just some advice on your videos. Don't make it too obvious that you are reading a script because is feels unnatural and inauthentic. Also try to show more genuine excitement about what you are talking about because sometimes it feels like you are just going through the motions instead of being genuinely excited. Just some feedback

Thank you so much for the feedback💜💜I really appreciate it. Honestly, I struggle with remembering everything I want to say because I often have so much to share, and I end up getting carried away. I’ll definitely keep your advice in mind moving forward-especially about sounding more natural and showing genuine excitement. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts; it really helps me improve!🫶
