Just saw your video on the chuck roll. Subscribed! My wife and I just started carnivore. I really like chuck eye steaks. I get them at foodlion. I'm sure other stores have it. Foodlion is just down the street where I live. Thanks

My cholesterol is 500, and the only person worried about it is my wife. I'm still trying to get her switched over to a keto/carnivore diet. I've been doing keto/carnivore for over 2 years, and I feel great!!

Outstanding Jim! Be patient and kind with your wife. Her seeing the improvements in your health might be the best way to get her to try it.

Hey Steve thanks for that, also I thought you might say “what” kind of cholesterol was bad and what was not. For instance the “light fluffy” is good and the “small dense” is bad, when you both found out about your “high” cholesterol you ordered the test to check what kind of cholesterol you had which I believe you can find out with a test called a CAC score of which if I remember correctly Stephs was 0 bad and your score was like a 1 . VERY GOOD 👍🏼

I concur Steven, I was concerned about my cholesterol until I retired from a factory job at 67 1/2 and had time to research for myself. So many things the experts were wrong on over the years, almost makes me think it was on purpose. Remember when the big news corporations would go on TV and blow the whistle on wrongdoing like pink sludge in ground beef, and get your flu shot to prevent you getting the flu then every time I got the shot it caused me to mis 3 days work. Butter is bad, lard is bad but it makes the best pie crusts, Grandma lived way into her 90's and ate all that stuff all her life, go figure! Now at 74 I feel better than I did in my 50's, didn't loose the weight until I quit the beer though and that was causing my arthritis to wreak havoc on my joints also.

It does feel like it was on purpose Robert. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Thank goods I love meat, with all of this I feel so much better the minute I would eat a candy bar or cookies I felt terrible... thanks for all your research you do for us.. I used to guzzle regular soda, my whole teen-adult life, it's one of my biggest weaknesses. I have cut way back and now I feel so gross after a regular Coke. I do still have diet drinks but also cutting back on those too. I am one of those addicted to sugar. Part of me wants to do a complete detox/ cabinet purge but I'm scared 😂

I am also not a full carnivore, but i don't eat veggies, pasta and such. I do however sometimes eat chocolate. But i cut way back of what i used to eat! When we go out to eat i just get eggs, no bread or the little green stuff on the side of the plate. Or just meat. We had a day-trip recently to see some churches, a lunch was included. I just asked for baked eggs instead. They looked at me if i was crazy. Had to explain my different way of eating. I don't call it a diet! But if i got bread with those eggs i sure notice it the next day. I fortunately have a farmer with black angus, she provides me with healthy meat. Delicious!

Ancel Keys was an egotistical self promoting POS who caused untold pain, suffering, and financial hardship for hundreds of millions of people (no exaggeration) around the world. Also conflating the terms "lipid" and "fat" has furthered the idea that lipids cause us to gain weight and get fat. Whether this was a planned conspiracy to confuse and derail the health of America is not beyond belief considering the corrupt medical system.

I have been a follower for a long time, when you started the dietary changes years ago I was thinking you were nuts. I don't know how you stuck to AIP for so long - that had to be hard, I wasn't a big fan of the Carnivore either and I am still a little concerned BUT the 2 of you pay attention to how you are feeling and you are doing so much research I feel better about your choices. Thinking that the high cholesterol does mean less than they thought - someday they will be able to break down cholesterol into more categories. I believe body weight and movement have a lot to do also, not to mention so many people who are high also have bad eating habits, it isn't just about the fat. People eating processed food and sugar need to be taken into account. I know when my cousin (science degree) worked for a large company that made so many processed foods (in the lab) she said they break down everything and take out any nutrients then put in the processed vitamins and minerals and add their own protein and fiber that is made in the lab.

I was expecting to be ripped and toned. Well my hormones won't let me. I've been Carnivore since July 2024 and I have lost weight and inches but I thought I would loose more weight! Someone told me my body has to heal first so I don't know how long that will take. They said 6 months or 1 year. I even tried eating butter but that made me gain. So I just stay active and do zero carbs eating tons of protein until I'm full. So let's see what happens. Good luck to all.

Are you talking about a chuck roast>. What is a chuck roll? Never heard of that
@StevenSteph2 күн бұрын
A chuck roll is a large cut of beef taken from the shoulder area (or chuck primal) of the cow. It’s a versatile, flavorful, and relatively affordable cut of meat due to its marbling and slightly tougher texture compared to more tender cuts like ribeye or filet mignon. Chuck rolls typically weigh between 15-25 pounds, making them ideal for bulk purchases.
@crystalh7334 күн бұрын
QUESTION: Is it cheaper because you are asking for it in a box?
@StevenSteph2 күн бұрын
Yes. If you buy by the case you get a cheaper per pound price. The butchers don't have to do anything to the meat so there's no labor cost, making your cost cheaper.
@crystalh7334 күн бұрын
Some people’s might be tough bc of the grade. Costco typically has high grade meat. I have noticed that different ribeyes from different stores taste and feel completely different, and it’s the grade that’s different. Costco is always the best.

Chuck is cheaper, but it's chewier. I cut my chuckeye rolls into roasts and slow cook them all day so they're fall apart tender. I might have to try this though. I've done cubes of chuck stew meat in the air fryer and they were good but a little chewier than I would have liked. I suppose I could get over it too lol.

As a carnivore I use the heck out of my blender. I make egg white bread, and egg puddings, and so much more. It's AMAZING how many ways eggs and meat can be used. I cook chicken, dehydrate it and blend it into powder and use it to make breading for meat. I love making chicken fried steak using chicken flour and eggs for the breading. I also make a gravy out of cheese and chicken flour. So many varieties of things can be made using only meat, eggs, and cheeses. Gelatin can be used, and so can collagen, to increase the possibilities.
