Back in those days, so much more delightful to watch. These days, the styles a lot more boring plus a lot of competitors can't even stand firm.

She’s perfection because her secret was the emphasis on each execution not hurrying, thats differ her from olga korbutz or anyone else,

Many pro Bela comments say were you his gymnast or did you see him mistreat his gymnasts. Thing is we wouldn't be be discussing this if it didn't happen. Reality is it did happen and it is done. We must educate everyone on how coaches can be abusive to gymnasts and prevent the cycle from occuring again. It starts with ourselves. Speak up always ! Be brave.

Thank you for this video. I loved the comparison which shows that it was really women's artistic gymnastics for many years, and I think it should've evolved but not beyond where Olga Korbit and Nadia Comeneci, took it to. It should be more about ballet, conrol, balance, combined with acro series, but not have extreme as a goal and I also loved that the leotards were cut to cover enough. ❤❤❤

70’s 80’s 90’s and early 00 was the epitome of gymnastics. Majority of the gymnasts are horrendous these days. No grace, poise, elegance or form. Sticking landings and clean lines rarely exist anymore.

the 70s are the most graceful and easiest to watch... most delicate and feminine.... the 80s and beyond feel violent and harsh and souless

just proves u can have delicate upper bodies and still do all that gymnastics requires

Big deal, I could do that too if I wanted. Just...not on purpose and not without killing myself in the process. I remember watching this in '76, still in grade school. She was a phenom for sure! Thanks for the video my friend, good stuff! 👍 👍

Absolutely beautiful. You will never see this kind of nimbleness again, unfortunately, since they changed the minimum age for Olympic competition to 16.

I appreciate the modesty of the uniforms. I wonder why our young ladies wear such revealing uniforms. Does less clothing make for easier movement? I really would like to know! Maybe then I can "let it go" as my daughter tells me.
