Can I freeze the Coco coir that was rehydrated too? Or is it more for the stuff that went through pasteurization?
@NorthSpore2 күн бұрын
Yes, you can freeze rehydrated coco coir!

I prefer using a big disposable aluminum BBQ tray with a smart thermometer in the oven. Or just buckettek it because it works fine.

I've read you can sometimes get multiple flushes from one bag, sometimes up to a year (and depending on the items at hand). Is that from just letting them flush over and over? Do you gently break up the substrate after each flush to mix it up? Or do you put the colonized substrate into a tub on more substrate lol
@JoaoVitor-pj3uk4 күн бұрын
Is there a minimum size for cutting? Is it necessary to stretch the bag to increase the opening of the hole or is cutting it enough? Is it necessary to spray water inside as the bag's apparent humidity decreases? Is some type of extra ventilation necessary, or does cutting only guarantee the necessary gas exchange?

Hello, your video is very interesting and I wanted to ask some questions. 1- If we used as a substrate, in addition to what you mention in the video, adding biochar and edible calcium to that mixture, that would help even more with the formation of the fungi and the propagation of the mycelia more and more quickly. 2- in one part of the video you say that jeans have vegetable vifras, there is no need to take into consideration that many jeans today are not made of vegetable fibers but rather plastic fibers 3- Will you have a link or video or could you have a video referring to the homemade construction of filters with fungi, either for water or for removing dyes?

Between the humidifier and the air exchange, how noisy is this setup?
@NorthSpore3 күн бұрын
Noisiness is very subjective, but we would say it not very noisy 👍

I had a friend who grew mushrooms. And he was absolutely OCD about sterilization. Is all this necessary? What happens if you just keep it very clean and don't worry about being sterile? Has anybody actually tried it? Does it mess up the yield? I'm just thinking diminishing returns here, is it really worth it?
@NorthSpore3 күн бұрын
It's really about increasing chances of success and decreasing chances of contamination. If you want to increase your chances of a successful yield, you should put the effort in to being very clean - if you don't and somehow avoid contamination, that's some pretty good luck.

When I set up my tent I have reptile foggers set up along the top of the tent near where u put your air exchange, and my air exchange is currently pulling air from near the bottom of the tent, is this a crucial error?

Is there a love button?? I'm in Arizona on two acres with over 100 trees. We constantly have access to hardwood lumber, old logs, bales of straw, goat poo, chicken poo & awesome well water. We garden & play outside daily. Frequently we find mushrooms popping up in our trees, grounds, flower beds, etc. I've wanted to grow for almost a decade but never had the right area or supplies. I bought a pink oyster kit for the hell of it & thought, why the hell wouldn't this grow outside? Then this video popped up in my feed! Algorithm gods fulfill my crazyheart grow whims again!! ❤

The advantage of the tub with the 'pond fogger' is that you can put a toilet siv in it and run a plumbing line into the tub to auto refill. You can also have UVC light in the tub to kill any mold, fungus, or bacteria. The only point of failure is the ultrasonic pond fogger. Just keep buying until you get a good one or get the ceramic disks.
