Understanding the Consequences of Hatred Choosing violence, including the act of killing, is grounded in hatred and anger, which the Bible consistently warns against. In John 8:44, Jesus describes the devil as a murderer from the beginning, highlighting that such actions stem from a position of evil. Additionally, 1 John 3:15 states, "Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him". This indicates that harboring hatred is at odds with living a life reflective of God's love. The Nature of True Love True love, as described in the Bible, is active and seeks the well-being of others, even those who may be unlovable. Romans 5:8 exemplifies this notion by stating, "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us". This unconditional love serves as a model for how individuals are encouraged to treat others. It shifts the focus from a desire for revenge to a call for grace and mercy. The Call for Transformation Choosing to love one's enemies is not only a moral guideline but also a means of personal transformation. Engaging in violence leads to a cycle of retaliation and deepens division, while responding with love can break this cycle. As Romans 12:21 teaches, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”. This highlights the power of love to transform relationships and communities. Conclusion: The Choice Between Love and Violence Choosing to kill or cause harm is an expression of anger and discontent, which can lead to spiritual and emotional destruction. In contrast, Jesus’ call to love enemies invites individuals to experience a higher purpose and fulfillment through compassion and forgiveness. Embracing this command can pave the way for healing, both personally and within broader communities.

@ telling humans to love each other and do good to those who persecute them is like telling a bunch of monkeys to be intelligent and build a first class civilization it’s absolutely stupid and pointless because humans are vindictive and vengeful by nature and would rather retaliate and make people who are intentionally hurtful suffer in order to get revenge or to avenge others rather than love their enemies and try to understand them

@theauther.227613 күн бұрын
If you look at the bigger picture it's not about him feeling akin to the wolf. It's more about acknowledgement and empathy of the unfairness of life and what one must do to survive. The dog and the wolf are two different things so with the sheep and the dog. The only thing that delineates them is their method of survival but then again they all hurt living things. Sheep hurt plants wolf hurt sheep, dog can hurt sheep and wolf. The problem is not on terms of hypocrisy but on self righteousness; no one is evil yet everyone is❤. What is evil is the idea of pride, like who hurts who worse or more. Who is anyone to judge really😅, we all hurt the same we are the same we all want to live we are alive. In summary a better response could have been, "I feel no pleasure in his death though I am relieved. In the end I too wish to live"

It is in the dog's nature to sympathize with the wolf, but how can you expect an animal that is never going to have to kill to live to sympathize with its killers? I liked the first comic, but this one in my opinion missed the mark. As humans, we can understand both sides, but to expect the sheep to be respectful of what they see as their oppresor is futile. Edit: If you liked this comic, and found comfort or something to learn from it, more power to you, I'm sure that was the author's intention and they would be glad their art cause the intended effect. It didn't work for me, and that's ok too. I appreciate the likes and the people who respectfully disagreed with me, but I won't be answering to any more replies. Thanks. I think people are interpreting my comment as me siding with the sheep, but that's not the case. As a human, I can understand why wolves need to kill to survive, but I also wouldn't expect the sheep to understand that. The sheep being an allegory for humans doesn't work for me either, I could explain why, but ultimately, it would take too long.
@gustavoks115 күн бұрын
I think this can be said about the humans that will never have to kill a animal to eat, but still say that a wolf is bad just because it is trying his best to survive. This comic is about the human nature, not the animals, the dog and sheep are just a way to illustrate that.
@enricomassignani15 күн бұрын
Of course sheep don't empathize with wolves. They don't talk, either. This is an allegory.
@ジ金15 күн бұрын

@enricomassignani You missed the point of my comment, if I didnt understand it was an allegory, I would have said, "of course sheep cant empathize, they are animals, they dont have thoughts", but that's not what I was saying.
@violettbellerose117315 күн бұрын
@@gustavoks1 But it is not a pefect allegory because humans and sheep are in separate positions. We no longer have natural predators, we are not herbivores, but omnivores. Let's say vampires were real and they hunted us down because they can only survive from our blood. Expecting humans to feel bad about vampires would be pointless. Not impossible, but I personally wouldnt feel bad about them because they are a threat to me and my loved ones. Likewise, they dont feel bad about killing me, even if I got them to care about me and my loved ones, it wouldnt change that they have to feed on me, so they dont feel for me, and I dont feel for them. And maybe there are humans that do empathize with them, but my point is, you can't expect most humans to do so.
