Nice! One of those books (ASM 252, Batman 635, etc) completely will pay for the entire haul and then some. Getting comics at garage sales of flea markets is the best way to get amazing deals. Comic Conventions are way overpriced. Good for you!

So...you mean someone is going to sell a locked briefcase in a yard sale without opening it first themselves ? The majority of people will break open just about anything locked especially a briefcase to see if any valuables are in it . Yeah, I figured that the $100 worth of Budweiser collectibles and the tools that I bought from her wasn't enough. So I went back and spend 3 hours with her, examining each issue, determining the conditions and values, then I paid her for the full value of each and every issue. We debated on price. Then I demanded a full refund for the Budweiser stein that she sold me which had a hairline crack which caused the handle to break off. We have a case pending in Los Angeles Superior Court right now. I'm hoping that I can win her grand piano. I can't play, but it would look great next to my framed stolen issue of Action Comics #1. 😬

I've searched yard sales in Whittier, Norwalk, Downey, Bellflower, Cerritos, Paramount, Compton, Long Beach, Lakewood and La Mirada. Best ones I've found are at the Lakewood Neighborhood Yard sales. Blocks and blocks of the same community all come out at once to sell. It's like a giant flea market.

@@alleng27 Oh I see I see.So basically with collecting comics it's not only about the money value but finding rare ones to complete ones set or just hard to find.Interesting..thanks for the reply!
@alleng273 жыл бұрын
@@mjlives5428 For me personally, I'm not motivated by looking for valuable, high cost comic books. I enjoy finding rare issues, old and hard to get comic books. If I am lucky enough to find a very expensive comic book, then I am grateful but would most likely not sell it unless I was desperate. I'm a collector of popular issues and aficionado of the great stories that most comic book sellers never bother to read. An old issue that I love could be worth $10 or $100 and I would appreciate it the same.

I do both and it works for me! What’s makes the video great though, is what you’re showing! Man, you have been scoring some great comics at awesome prices! Thanks so much for wanting to keep a video record of your finds because now the world knows your area is a hot spot for some great comic book scores! Later man!
