Whilst most of the video is correct (from a Wikipedia look I guess) there are multitudes of evidence which talks about how lethal injection is a method with unknown amounts of pain. Where there have been people who survived the injections apparently it is an incredibly painful process where the condemned basically can’t speak to their pain. Further to add there’s about a 7% botch rate with lethal injection, which is the largest of any method ever used by a western country, where excess pain is almost a guarantee. Whether this is better or not to anyone is their say but to call hanging a process known now (through long drop) to be relatively painless when compared to lethal injection with less stress overall to the condemned or firing squad (generally considered to be the most human to the accused but not the executioners because of low failure rate and quick death)

I wish to stress this: no medical personnel take part in executions (very rarely do they). It's because it is against the Hippocratic oath to uphold and sanctify and protect life. One can not protect life by taking it. And, many, many pharmaceutical companies outright refuse to sell the needed drugs for executions. That means no morphine, no sedatives. So, states "improvise". Americans, you scream about death when they are a murderer. Yet, in the same breath, you refuse to kill them because "it's a easy way out".

18:00 Obviously the death penalty is not something that stop the horrible crimes going on in the USA. I remember a quote from the first episode of Game of Thrones, where Ned Stark told his son that the most dangerous of all criminals were the ones that had broken their oath and knew they were doomed to die, since then nothing would restrict them from their worst impulses. Likewise in the USA and other places with the death penalty, the criminals that know they won't get any mercy by stopping their crimes, but are going to suffer life in prison or probably death, are logically not very likely to show any mercy to their victims either, nor have any remorse.
