I appreciate you playing the original sample before running it in the GR-1. I know I came in here 5 years after the fact, but I just got a used GR-1! Thanks for the video.
@paulemery7353 Жыл бұрын
Almost got one of these but went with Maschine instead . No regrets but this looks fun.

Do they still make these can’t find one for sale 😁🪐 Great sounds I dig the more west coast vibes 🪐

Are these just playing on various loop types, or is there a sequencer/movement recorder?

love the Gr1

Great ambient machine. Wouldn't mind feeding it some DX-7 stuff.

nicely done - cheers! OSC in LFO mode tracking pitch is a great idea - I did lots of odd stuff with that on my JP-6. ;)

Does this thing sample on the fly or you can only dump sample files into it?
@TastyChips3 жыл бұрын
Both, with sampling on the fly only if you plug in an USB audio interface / dongle.

the processed kurzweil sound is magical, nice demo.

Great demo! What does this do that I couldn’t do in Ableton simpler? (Apart from it being hardware)

Nice! I had saved for nearly a year for the GR1 but the demos were just all so uninspiring. Until I found you! And i'm back!!

This ( granular synth ) and a hydrasynth or argon 8 ( wavetable synths) would cover the abilities of a Waldorf quantum and enough change for some other VA or real analog DM 12 ?

So...basically a synth that does the equivalent of Ensoniq transwave synthesis? Nice to see someone making something marginally affordable.
@dramadestroyer8255 жыл бұрын
If the sample is played lower does it make it slower, also if a sound is looped and it is played lower, does the looping get slower, and if so, is there a way to turn that off

I have one and many future discoveries in the world of infinite wave frequency. this revolutionary war machine plunges us into a new world of synthesizer...
@vaspers5 жыл бұрын
So you load a sample into it via usb connection, then do granular processing on that sample?
@ghfjfghjasdfasdf5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for making this showcase video! It’s the best example of what the GR-1 can do. @ 4:50 I’m blown away. I want one of these, but I think I’ll wait for a GR-2 if it’s in the cards.

I can not find this product! Thank.

PERFECT demo, mate. No talking, egos, acting like a dipshit on camera, no clickbait, lousy audio through a phone. Just the synthesis. And included the original samples too! Subscribed, keep it up.

This is amazing! Good job! Nice that you put original samples. Sometimes it's hard to believe that such a great sounds are created from a regular sample. Like the first one or Kawai k1m. This thing adds so much complexity to the sound... I'm more and more convinced about this product, even though peoples opinion is that it is overpriced and you can do the same with vsts..

This machine is the most exciting thing to hit the market in decades.. far more immediate and tactile that the Waldorf Quantum to use.. I can't stop playing mine
@skyreadersociety61836 жыл бұрын
how good is the GR-1 in the low end? some pure digital machines are pretty weak there when it come to samples (and one reason for still using vintage sampler btw...)? In short: how good is the Lowpass filter ?& Thanks for this - it illustrates very well that you'll get really interesting stuff out of relatively one dimensional input.
@nicholasmarshall63616 жыл бұрын
Can you sample something weird for demonstration. Like an orchestra hit, or a used-car commercial or something?
