Ended up coming back to this vid. Really like that (sequenced?) patch at about 1:47

nicely done - cheers! OSC in LFO mode tracking pitch is a great idea - I did lots of odd stuff with that on my JP-6. ;)

Wide frequency range ....for sure. Great demo I have already . Confirmed my next purchase for this little beauty with four oscillators. Semi modular fatty ......✌️👽Christo

I'd love a good photo of the way you had ants set up at ~2:28; it would help me understand a bit more how to use mind better...

I don't suppose this can be placed into a eurorack can it?
@069fid6 жыл бұрын
Certainly. It conforms to the Eurorack standard with all inputs and outputs.

Looks like a fun and affordable entry into the modular world of Eurorack without going broke. Can you put this into a larger modular case?

Awesome! How do you like it so far? Would you say this is similiarish to a m32? I think I want ants over the m32 with a 0coast..

I'm also looking at the Ants or the 0-coast. I'm totally new to synths, I don't understand how or why combine these devices. In what way would you use an Ants and a 0-coast together? I have a OP-1 now but craving for something more analog.

The M-32 only has one oscillator Ants has four. The M-32 wants to rule the roost. It has a ton of pattern storage (sequencer memory) and a one octave keyboard (transposable.) It can require buff-mults to play nicely with others. There can be some strange voltage/tracking problems without buffering the KB out. That filter on the Mother-32 is fantastic, butter. If you want a sequencer and you love the Moog sound. That's your beast. Watch Bana Haffar videos if you want some idea of the sound. Have a look at Dreadbox's NYX and Erebus; those boxes have polyphony options built in...you can polychain them buy design. I have the 0-Coast and the Mother 32, and now I'm looking at Dreadbox or Ants. Dreadbox offerings don't respond to keyboard velocity...I wonder how well Ants would respond to Yarns polyphony/chords?

To add on to this: the 0-coast has more West Coast flavor than the m32 or ants, which can either be good or bad depending on who you are

I love the Dreadbox! I wish more places in the USA carried the Erebus model which I like better than the more expensive NYX model. I am not that impressed by the Ants units I have heard. The Nocoast sounds better and costs less and is smaller. So I would take the Dreadbox Erebus of these as it costs less and more portable. But it depends on what sounds you are after.

no coast is fun but only 1 oscillator and 1 LFO this does more

What kind of cable are you using from your VCA 2 out to your speaker/interface?
@niceandsynths92547 жыл бұрын
A 3.5 mm TS to 1/4 in TS cable, specifically a Hosa CMP-305.
