Something that always struck me as a powerful message on this music is this: Trunks' timeline...is the true timeline. Before the time machine, what Trunks went through was what really happened in our story. We lost Goku before the fight began. The Z Fighters were all murdered. Gohan was alone, and we eventually lost him as well. Trunks was the last legacy of our heroes. The horror and pain of what was lost is PERFECTLY captured in this music.

This is art. I love how good and seamless this video sounds, even though it's made up of a variety of different tracks used at different points in the Buu saga! It truly shows how well-thought and composed this score was for each arc. It sounds completely different from something you would hear in the Frieza, or Garlick Jr. Arc, for example, with this being way more dark and mysterious… and whether it was purposefully made that way, or just a matter of the composers evolving their skills over time, the fact remains that the soundtrack to this arc is otherworldly. Either way, I wish there were more videos like these, as they are brilliantly put together. The Trunks one is also great, but this one is definitely my favourite!

Scott Morgan, one of the three composers who created the bulk of the "Faulconer" score, yet went uncredited, mentioned that more of these Trunks songs were actually edited into the episodes they sent to Funimation, but Funi decided to swap them out with other tracks, probably because they thought the music wasn't exciting enough for the scenes they were originally placed in.
