I agree with most of this video besides, if you verify a top 1, no matter how long it takes, you are a top player for the duration of at least the time the level is a top 1, i think if it were like 2018 when top 1's werent nearly the skill it is now it would make sense to say that, but beating and verifying a level harder than TIDAL WAVE is hard to even process, especially when theres multiple top 10 players rn that are verifying top 1's that are taking easily over 100-200k att to verify just a new top 1 even thought their the top 10 players in the entire game, If you verify a top 1, you are a top player no questions asked.

One thing that I think a lot of people don't put enough emphasis on when considering top players is consistency. I never really see a lot of people mention these people as a top players, but imo Zeronium and ddddr should be put into the conversation. Their ability to consistently complete an 1-3 extremes a day for almost 2 years straight is extremely impressive. This especially applies to Zeronium because in-between his completions he is almost always working on a much harder level in the background.

Imo, as someone who’s beaten 2 top 30’s at some point in times top players are players that not only can beat hard levels, but to put it simply, keep up with the rising skill level of the game, because someone like tech stopped being considered a top player because he went from slamming top 10’s to not playing the game much and beating still pretty hard levels, a more literal example would be riot, if ykwim, beating a top 10 is cool, but the real question is can they keep up with the rising skill level in the game, which makes a top player

Personally your explanation is a reason why I hate top players like wpopoff who can beat any level in like 30k on the list that isnt literally number 1 because it's so above literally everyone else and they just seem to not care or realize how lucky they are to have became the best player in such a small amount of time 99% of people who would be considered a top player had probably like 500 hours on the game when they beat a top 10 when plenty of people have thousands upon thousands and haven't beaten an extreme

I think a lot of people are running circles around themselves because the term "top player" is subjective to each individual and how it differs from being one of the "best players". For some people the attempt count seems to matter a lot in what makes one the better player than another. Here's my take: if two people, A and B, both beat the rank 1 demon, they're equally good (objective skill). Though, person A took 100k attempts and person B took 1.5m attempts. What this means, is that person A is more consistent or a quicker learner than person B (assuming both give about the same amount of effort during practice). Let's say both person A and B went on to beat all of the top 10 with person B having ten times the amount of attempts at the end. Who is better? They both beat the same levels. The above is just an example for the top 10 hardest levels but it can be applied to anywhere within the demonlist. Say we have a guy who beats the whole list from ranks 11->75 and then another guy who beats ONLY the top 1->5. Which is "better"? It's like comparing apples and oranges. When I think, not of "Top Players" but the "Best Players", I think of someone who's able to climb and claim the very objectively hardest levels currently in the game, which means *multiple* top 10 entries. Does that mean someone who "only" beat the 11-75 is not a top player? No it doesn't. It is an insane achievement and only a very limited group of people can even do that. So, coming to a close, what makes someone one of the "best" or at the "top"? It is that they're only one of a very few. I think this matter is a lot more nuanced than what some people try and make it out to be and a lot of it is based on subjective opinions in the end.

Ye I pretty much agree with everything in this video. Probably would consider someone a top player if they beat 2 not 3 (I think 2 is enough) top 10s with normal amount of atts(under or around 100k) and not some bs like 1 mil or few 100 000. There is difference between someone who is going or completed a top 10 and someone like popoff trick or zoink who beat a top 10 with relative ease. Still tho those players are way better than me(cata is my hardest) and I can call everyone who has beaten an extreme a relatively good player.

A pro player is a player who can beat a extreme demon. A top player is a player who can beat top 10 extreme demons. Top players are the best of the pros in my opinion

Honestly, i think WhizKid could maybe be considered a top player. Sure, he doesn’t have any top 10s under his belt, but he has one of the widest skillsets in the game, even beating codependance, something even zoink couldnt do. and he did it in NINE DAYS. Also, he makes super quick progress on levels, even new hardests. maybe he has a little bit to go to be a top player but he still is right on the cusp of being one
