Pour les comparatifs je suis toujours obligé de regarder plusieurs vidéos y'a toujours une info qui manque de-ci de-là ; là pour la première fois que je me dis OK je sais ce qu'il y a besoin de savoir. Super vidéo, et la démo finale est magique bravo.

Elite sounds darker I think. I'm looking to getting one of them. Probably the blue version. I have the C-1 Platinum and the guitar is a shredder but, needs of 7 string to tune down to A standard since the 6 string seems to not liking the A tune. But, it could just be me... I will probably swap out the pickups for some Seymore Duncans and locking tuners...

Looking at the SC-Custom (Passive) Purple's images: The hardware is chrome. The background is black an in some pictures it's reflecting tha black background, which is an effect when shooting reflecting metal parts. You can see this in pretty much all of Thomann's guitar images with chrome hardware, even if it's a Fender guitar or something like that.

Merci à tous pour vos votes ! La LTD EC-401 arrive en tête de vos choix, suivie de près par la cort KX-500 ou KX-507. Quand j'ai passé commande hier, le coloris que je voulais montrer pour la EC-401 n'était plus disponible pour une durée de 2 à 3 semaines. J'ai donc choisi la cort KX-507 en édition Thomann 70ème anniversaire pour la prochaine vidéo. La LTD EC-401 viendra ensuite :)

Thanks to all of you for your votes ! The LTD EC-401 is ahead on your list but the Cort KX 500 or 507 is not far away. When I have ordered yesterday, the LTD EC 401 in the color I want to see and to show was no more available - delayed by 2 or 3 weeks - so I chose the cort KX-507 in Thomann 70th Anniversary edition for the next video. The LTD EC-401 will come next :)

me again 😅 have you heard of SPIRA guitars? seems to be new on the market and a sister brand of JET. they make some 7strings too. maybe this is also something you would like to try / review. I couldn't find any reviews yet - since its very new on the market. I've seen them on gear4music. Of course I'm curious if they are at least as good as HB ;-)

Thanks for this info, I have never heard about thiss brand. They look very young, they've got less than 40 followers on FB ! They say they're making guitars for metal players so I guess they deserve me to try one of their axes ;)

Hey is the SC custom III with 24 frets suitable for shredding on the high frets, like past the 15th fret?

As I mention and show in the video, this guitar lets you access the 24th fret very easily so yes, you can shred comortably with the Sc Custom III :)

Hi Francois, I find in a great idea. Thanks for asking and going to slightly different shores (Fishman). My favor is towards the Cort KX-500 at first. But I would also love to see you reviewing the Cort KX-507 and the HB MAX Fusion. So my preferred ranking is: 1. KX-500 2. KX-507 3. HB MAX Fusion. Thanks in advance! 🙂

I think I need to explain why I chose the EC-401 instead of the EC-1000. The specs on the EC-401 are very very close to the Sc Custom III active : grover tuners that are not locking tuners, EMG 81/60 that are technically close to the Tesla Active pickups, and a difference of price that already is important but not crazy. On the SC-1000 you've got stainless steel frets that are not the same as on the Harley Benton - and maybe that's worth analyzing - locking tuners and, eventhough you've still got EC-1000 with EMG 81/60, you've also got Fishman Fluence and it looks like most customers who want active pickups are going there. Not even talking about the 27 different variations you have ion the EC-1000 (finishes, pickups, evertune bridge or FR and so on) the difference of price is huge. As I'm writing this comment, the cheapest EC-1000 I could get is a B-stock EC-1000 vintage black with EMG 81/60 and I'm not even sure this one is coming with stainless steel frets cos' it's not specified. So I see your point, and maybe in time I will go for the EC-1000, but as I'm reading the comments I realize many people would like to see the EC-401.

Tu sais que j'avais acheté la Sc Custom actif pour madame et franchement moi aussi qui est sur des micros passif sur le modèle I de la Sc ! Malgré le fait que je suis gaucher,et bein bordel c'est une pure dinguerie ! Maintenant je jalouse Madame

Oui, je confirme que c'est une dinguerie ! Je pense qu'ils vont assez vite sortir une version gaucher, mais n'hésite pas à leur demander directement : tu vas sur le site harley benton ( harleybenton.com ), tu vas tout en bas dans contact, et tu leur envoie un mail (de préférence en anglais) pour demander la version active en gaucher. Ils te répondront :)

I think there are plenty of people who review the big brands. there are only a few good ones reviewing and comparing Harley Benton. Also I'm interested in your high quality comparison of the HB against LTD. I'm sure you'll do a great job! I like both - HB and LTD but because of reasons I don't own a LTD yet. But do what ever floats your boat 🙂If you are interested in the other 2 speccs - go for it. I'll watch anyways. 👍

I didn't realize I had made that many HB reviews lately. If I go for the EC-401 I will make an in depth review of it and a second video to compare it with the SC Custom III Active. As I'm writing these words it appears that the EC-401 is ahead on the poll, but the Cort come in second position so, I will review it anyway :)

Je l’ai également dit sur la page FB, mais à choisir je préférerais voir la EC-401 vs la SC Custom 3. D’une part car je suis fan de cette forme (j’en ai 3 à la maison haha), et parce que la SC Custom 3 m’intéresse, je me tâte encore d’ailleurs entre la passive et la active 🙂

Hii! Great ideas! I think the 401 would be the most interesting, but only if you could get an ec1000 i know i know…😅because I’m really curious about this hb-ltd comparison, but in terms of quality and price range, the ec1000 can give us the real reference point, bc it’s kinda the top of the line. If it’s unfeasible, my second choice it’s the cort kx500. Thank you for the useful videos!
