The workplace is toxic and unprofessional, with long-term employees overloading new hires. HR, "Asim," is incompetent and fosters a negative atmosphere. Some questions seem very unnecessary for a professional who may be visiting site as a client representative. For example, Q.16 is more suited to Site Managers and Q.17 is more aligned to contractors and health and safety inspectors. This demonstrates the test is more aligned to construction contractors than professionals such as QS, Building Surveyor or Architect who merely visit a site for progress meetings or site inspections. I just don't see the value of CITB Cards for visiting professionals, especially when they are more likely to be escorted around the site with the site manager. Just seems more like a money-making exercise for CITB to validate their continual involvement in trying to police construction.

I have an IOSH course in the next couple of weeks, I hope the exam is as straightforward as this.

@@DrEmilSchaffhausenThe3rd yes. I work in a business that’s very health and safety oriented, so everything in this course was the same as I’ve been told over and over again. It was due to be three days of training via Zoom but realistically I think it’s one busy day of training.

@@billyshortz6033 what IOSH are you doing? The Managing Safely was super easy compared to the NEBOSH General Certificate I’m doing now. Managing Safely is a good beginner to NEBOSH I would say however they aren’t the same.

@@DrEmilSchaffhausenThe3rd yes was very easy, nothing major and it doesn’t require you to memorise legislation or anything like that. I think anyone could pass with common sense to be fair. There are different levels of IOSH courses though, the one above “Managing Safely” was the one I did.
