Some questions seem very unnecessary for a professional who may be visiting site as a client representative. For example, Q.16 is more suited to Site Managers and Q.17 is more aligned to contractors and health and safety inspectors. This demonstrates the test is more aligned to construction contractors than professionals such as QS, Building Surveyor or Architect who merely visit a site for progress meetings or site inspections. I just don't see the value of CITB Cards for visiting professionals, especially when they are more likely to be escorted around the site with the site manager. Just seems more like a money-making exercise for CITB to validate their continual involvement in trying to police construction.
