What an absolute joy to see those tiddlers being welcomed; seeing a mix of concentration and pleasure on their faces as they were driving, and to see them being addressed and respected as intelligent individuals by the excellent volunteers, was just wonderful to behold.👍💖 Congratulations to all concerned.

Just what i was thinking ....new blood to the hobby 👍👍

I was also thinking the same, and most youngsters don't need much explaining how to use a piece of tech like that tablet, whoever thought of doing that and set it up deserves a pat on the back.

My autistic grandson filmed three trains derail and was very excited he had captured the moments.

Ohhh my god how long will the lines be down whilst they get a crane in place to clear the lines, l suppose all services out of London are cancelled, government advice is do not travel if you can work from home, use replacement bus service and you will get to your destination 😂🤣😂🤣

I was driving the Redlands. Motive power was a well used 56 008 which occasionally derailed ( leading axle front bogie ) while crossing an oblique baseboard joint. Whilst retailing the loco, a driver behind me ran into the rear of the Redlands, fouling the down slow. The double headed 90’s then hit the Redlands. No one was injured, no rolling stock or infrastructure damaged. All Form 1’s completed, and then thrown in the bin! That hasn’t been my worst accident, but we won’t go into that here... I really enjoyed my day running on the layout. Malcolm

Hi Dave, thanks for showing the camera set-up. I’ve been wondering how the pan shots were done. Should have been obvious really. 😊

Why wasn't the headlight on 37430 with its sister 37? if headlights are fitted they switched them on, it looks strange with it off.
@Thunderer08724 күн бұрын
Ahh well at least the DRS 37 with 3 steel wagons has its headlight on! Not sure if its an excited 37 with one of its brake pipes pointing skywards though?

It's a sad reflection of the times that the Flying Scotsman train is near the foot of the list of popular (or otherwise) trains. It is likewise interesting that so many goods trains are near the top. Thank you for this tech talk. It has been a real eye opener.

There is nothing much that I can say other than this is shear perfection. Well done. The individual external lights on the sleeper coaches are !most impressive. Enjoy your time at Blakemore.

I just love how you have !are provision for the kids to get involved, that is really special, well done. It is quite amusing that whenever I watch on of your videos you can nearly always hear Pete's voice in the background. It was the same when he once attended Model Rail Scotland, you could hear his voice over the exhibition noise. His enthusiasm is infectious. Thank you all for your work and great videos. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

So we know from the last video the trains have done over 100 real miles, but how many miles have the volunteers done walking around with the people driving the trains?

Tell Pete that the trees are amazing, so will the underground service from Watford eventually go underground ? And how long do you think it will be before the overhead wiring system will actually work/happen, are the manufacturers working on designing for the trains to collect power from overhead lines ?
