Don’t forget about the oil pans rusting out! I had two 1995 f150’s and one f250 ALL of them had oil pans that rusted out! The one 150 with 4 wheel drive was the worst to change! Had to drop the oil pump into the pan before I could pull it@!

sorry figure I would put everything in one comment that is absolutely not the complete set of water pump bolts for a 1996 5.8L truck and the closest I found after a week of research was $150 set from Summit and I still needed 2 extra bolts sorry I just got to the part of the video where you said it took you 4 hours took me around 20 and forgot not to mention I had to destroy my timing chain cover to get the broken bolts out and of course I had to replace the timing chain cover bolts which was a whole other thing and when I was in there I went ahead and change the timing set OH AND USED THE BIGGEST can of anti-seize I could find and on top of that I chased every thread in the block

There is (should be) a second clip on the inner spline that needs to come off right after that first big one on the inner outside diameter before you can slide off the manual lock. (Mine was 3 screws holding the cap on) Great video bud. Thanks for sharing

Common problem, AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE SHORTS OUT!. Dont just pop in a new one, there has to be a modification. To keep the fuse from blowing and taking out your shifting and transmission as well you can unplug it until you do the repair and it runs fine.

Could you make a video on this truck about the vacuum hoes and the pipes all in that area. The farthest closest to the steering wheel keeps shooting out. I drove it disconnected and it got me home before it shut off. Connected it sounds like it's struggling and drowning. What are your thoughts on that (to the public and to the man posting this video) I'm working on my truck myself, I already replaced the throttle and coils. I'm here to learn, I don't want to send my truck off to someone else. Thank you in advance!

I bought a 94 and had to replace the rad support, rear spring mounts, front shock mounting brackets. Along with the shocks and coil springs. Also the clock spring. Also needed front brakes but that’s normal for most used trucks. I also need a new rear gas tank and radio. It’s a work in progress.

Memory Lane for me watching this. Had a '89 5.0 as my very first truck. Over 6 years I replaced the slave cylinder, alternator, starter, throw out bearing, water pump, rear end gearing 3x {my fault, dumb kid never shimmed correctly} and the auto locking hub's. Mainly cuz I pounded that truck, towing friends stock cars and farm mud running. I just started looking at that era to buy as a toy truck but current prices are ridiculous so will wait til politics make the market go down again.

Do sellers at high-end auctions like Mecum and Barrett Jackson bring/sell mostly pristine trucks? I've been saving up for a 9th gen 150/250 driver but don't have the time, tools or skills for a fixer-upper. Suggestions?

paint all that with turpentine and chain bar oil and don't be skippy slather it on best undercoat you can get. Just add enough Turpentine so the chain bar oil is easy to paint with.

Unplug the EGR vacuum tube and plug the end up with a screw. I bet that stop it. My 2002 ford f150 with the same 5.4 did the exact same thing. I put a new intake on it and it did nothing. It was the EGR valve bad. A friend told me how to check it. It is right on top of the motor in the back. The hose will be small about the size of a pencil lead. Unplug it and put a screw in the end. if that stops it then replace the EGR valve. This is not for the guy who made the video but for all of you out there that doesn't have a bad intake. Try it and I bet it fixes the misfire.

Hello. My mechanic just vacuumed and charged my a/c. It cools good. However my clutch does not stop turning as long as my a/c is on. It stops when I turn off the a/c. When I tested this, the temperature setting was on 50%, just at the middle, and it was evening so not too hot weather. I waited around 5-10 minutes and the clutch did not stop turning. It was cold in the car but not very cold. When I turned the temperature switch to max, the air from the vents went colder. So the a/c temperature control system (probably some kind of thermostat) works properly. The only problem is that the clutch does not stop turning which increases the a/c gas pressure too much so it leaks out of the system. What’s the problem? How to fix?
