That book is a piece of Art.

It was and is ground breaking and wont sit well with some because of the graphic content. I prefer the mature graphic content and how it did not fall into the superhero mainstream. Those who don't wont like it. This is not for the weak stomach or for mainstream batman and spiderman fans.

I have all but the Tomb of Dracula and Sensational She-Hulk omnibus. I also have the later printing of Dr. Strange with the white cover, but would have preferred Marvel re-released the variant you have.

Nice overview. I picked up the two Captain America volumes a couple years back and then in the last year I grabbed the Human Torch and the two Sub-Mariner golden age volumes. Was thinking about this one, bit it looks like 80% would be a double dip for me.

The story telling isn't as good. I agree with you about that. But there is something interesting about how they were throwing everything against the wall to see what stuck.

I arrived to the part when jess and gwen are talking and reading the last comic before it, nothing makes sense. I've been searching a lot of web sites video and nothing explain why it does happen. Can you help me? In wich comic did they meet to be together?

Some elements from this masterpiece were incorporated into the (current) mainstream DC Continuity, such as the Losers in Dinosaur Island (but with Captain Storm actually SURVIVING rather than being killed among his partners) or, most recently, the John Henry incarnation (now called John Henry, Jr., which is also Steel's great-uncle).

Nice that the FF Omnibus includes the letters but others like Powerpack does do include them.

It is nice to read parts of the stories in the Marvel Saga which shows how the other comics go together. Also, a magazine called Dynamite. which is published by Scholastic had part of their original story and had questions and answers and where i first heard of. i saw a cartoon show before I read Marvel Saga. I also have the index series.

I picked this book up a little while ago. I play FFXIV, and love the game. This book is exactly what I want from some video game worlds. A tome of comprehensive lore and backstory of the games world. I ordered the second volume too. I would love for Square Enix to publish a similar book about Valisthea (the world of FFXVI).

I've got this very book albeit in a very special one of a kind edition. That's all I'm saying as I don't want it nicked...

Thanks for the overview! I have the OHC and I've been going back and forth about upgrading to the omnibus. I think I'll stick with the OHC. Save my pennies for the other 20 omnis that I need to get 😮‍💨

World war hulk was great some of the tie ins were a lot of fun! Hopefully we get a continuation in omnibuses with this with the pak and Parker run

Planet Hulk is one of my all time favorite comics. I felt in comparison WWH a bit of a lit down, and really don't like JRJ art. That plus non chronological story mapping means a swerve on this one for me. I keep my TPB of it for my general Marvel event collection.

Best Aquaman in history, probably Johns greatest feat, against the advice of all at DC, he fought to be given Aquaman, being told it was a waste of time, He changed public perception towards Arthur Curry. This run was the basis for the Billion plus box office movie which Johns himself wrote. Mera is awesome, as Johns says, truly underestimated character, who is potentially among DC's strongest female characters. Aquaman is lucky, his enemies cannot target his love interest, they would regret going after the Queen. Only pity that this memorable Aquaman run was cut short, Johns has planned a much longer run, but petty people at DC stopped him, probably out of spitefulness for proving them wrong.

Do you prefer the first print of DV or the new deluxe edition?

I remember first being exposed to the animated film. After watching that I wanted to buy the original comic story. Might make a self-purchase for my birthday in the near future. Thanks for the spotlight.

I bought omnibus of green lantern🎉 i have a question i saw some reviews that say GLC by Tomasi/Gleason is better than johns run?? And this one is necessary to read together with johns run? I heard cause they complete each others i heard,what do u think?

This is such a great story from one of the greats. Darwyn Cooke really understood those characters and we see that here. I can't imagine the kinds of stories we'd be getting if he were still with us. For me, this is the way I'd like to see these superheroes-sure, they have their personal issues but in the end, it's all about hope and doing things for the greater good. And on top of that, this also jump-started my appreciation for the Silver Age for both DC and Marvel.

I like to read this after DC The Golden Age, for me it's like a combined story, a beginning and an end. Both excellent books, some of my favourite stories from DC.

As someone new to the scene of the Omnibuses, I'd about kill to see a reprint on the Tomb of Dracula V 1 and 2.

I love the incredible hulk he's my favourite superhero ever i got volume 1 it is incredible and also volume 2 is amazing i got this one aswell hopefully they make volume 3 and also i would love them to do a omnibus of the bruce jones the incredible hulk run i have both of the hardcovers hulks my favourite

I see the comments were moved over to this gray section where the video menu was. I thought it was just for one video about Jannis Inian and saw that was for another song and even this one. A big change for You Tube since changing the like symbol to a thumbs up . Make me not come back here. Not a good frame. Face book and Yahoo change like that and glad I did not have to get used to another look. here. Thought another site at first or clicked on something that changed the format like when making the size of video screen change. Having the comments on the bottom and the other videos on the right was much better. Maybe doing an Ian Musk. the Muske of You Tube. or at least he did not change the way out of X. Should have been put up for a vote or ask we like this version of the page. The end of an era.

I love the art work on these issues especially with George perez as you said, but seeing how these pages are so see through I wish marvel didn't print them at that Turkish printer,, because they feel very icky and you can see through all the pages

The best Thor run of all. I remember i would look forward to Simonson's Thor every month back in the 1980's. I normaly re-read this run after every few years, that's how good it is.
