I love GZ and TPP for their cool gameplay and I like a lot building my base with soldiers a la Digimon World 3. In a way, for me GZ is like a refined Portable Ops and TPP a refined Peace Walker in how their mechanics work, but being lackluster with the narrative. Still, I wish Venom Snake was his fully fledged character and not so much an avatar for us players (specially for the Paz sidequest with it's heartbreaking ending).

I believe sh2r is also largely outsourced, even if it had some insight from some of the original team members

*SPOILERS FOR MGSV* The funny about the 9 years is, I had no idea about the 9 year coma. I’ve been a fan and interested in the series of MG from afar. I only played and completed MGS2 in my early teens. Of course, a LOT of what happened in that story went over my head. Then I started but never finished Twin Snakes. After that I didn’t get back into the series. Until over a decade later, I was itching to play a stealth game. What better game than MGS. And when I heard Ground Zeroes is considered one of THE best stealth games ever made. Well I began to watch YT movies on the story to catch up. All except MGS4 and MGR. Which I intend to play and discover things on my own. I just need to finish fixing my old PS3. After catching up, I bought MGSV Definitive Experience. Money damn well spent. Been on it for about 2 months and f^ckin love it. It was a nice/interesting coincidence that Snake was in a coma for 9 years, and I didn’t play the game 9 years later after the game’s release. Life is funny that way sometimes

What makes me love MGSV is the depth of gameplay, and that the game keeps people talking about it. I won’t be surprised if this game is seen as the Moby Dick of gaming.

Kojima is so visionary that he made a game called, "Phantom Pain" and didn't finish it so we could actually experience Phantom Pain ourselves.

i don't think skullface was trying to go after the medic in the hospital, otherwise, there was no point in the 20 minute speech skullface gives you that is meant to be directed at the boss. If he truly knew about the phantom, I don't think he would have prepared nine years to deliver a crazy monologue yap session to the wrong guy.

Played Peace Walker as a kid and MGSV as a hs senior/college freshman. Safe to say the tonal shift and loss of innocence both ingame and IRL at the time was very potent.

One of the mission tittles, "Proxy War Without End", perfectly describes this game. Anyone still playing is fueling a proxy war without end by continuously building up staff and FOB's.
