I hope you do a "Three the hard way" experience someday. Its an RPGMaker game from the early 2000s with a branching storyline in multiple parts. Was written and created by 1 person, boasts 80+ hours of content, loads of minigames, exceptional storyline and a somewhat unique twist on the "RPG protagonist", the main char is a bartender who is tired of being poor so he sets out to be a bounty hunter. Its not a horror game though. The game was so popular there was a sequel in production(Queen's court) but last i heard the creator was hired by Square Enix.

So the MC of SMT2 is named Hawk too, huh?

Been an “SMT” fan since 2004 when I first played “Nocturne” in college. Was soooo excited for “SMT V”, but disappointed by its story & lack of characterization but enjoyed the game play & graphics. Playing through “Vengeance” now on Steam Deck & ❤’ing it!!!

I use this video as a goddamn sleep and the other one GU-L. Something about strange RPG maker games in Japanese and this guy explaining/playing them is pleasant like reading a book. Though my dreams recently are filled with horrors and monsters beyond comprehension. May be related but I dont mind. Mf is the GOAT.

For anyone who thinks they could contribute to such lists, I highly recommend you check out RPG Architect. RPG Maker without the arbitrary restrictions and dated workflow.

The superboss satan revealing that there is a multiverse of worlds all with the same mandala system was pretty cool. Idk why you didnt mention this as I consider it part of the story.

Dude I watched all your Megami Tensei content recently and it's like... my favorite movies as of late. Unironically. I really need you to do another, or at least gloss over why you don't want to do them. So good.

I was broke for most of the game, id lose all my money to healing and demons, so I gave up on upgrading armour and weapons about halfway through the game and honestly didn't notice. The one thing I did do is pop out and grab the neatral weapon from the imperial palace to make fights quicker and I beat both final bosses, although i was literally down to just my main character on micheal

Personally I just loot shit from the party members because man they never stay for long

Man I played the psx version and whilst I don't regret it overall the overworld map is way less detailed
