So get over your yellow sun, your white sun, your orange sun, your crimson sun, your red sun, whatever color you want to call it! It's as simple as, that's what sunflowers do!

This year we have a peak of the sun-activity. Therefore we could see polar lights right down to the south. I would say they don't want to get harmed. But I guess that is too easy for you. 🙂

And for the sun, I certainly remember a yellow sun. I also was able to look at it for a solid minute or so without burning my eyes off.

Sunflowers will face the sun until they are ready for harvest when the heads get too heavy to move. At that point, they only face east.

Here in UK the sun is so hot but if I step into the shade it's really cold... like the sun just heats what if directly shines on but not the air. Also whilst in Bulgaria I watched the fields of sunflowers following the sun throughout the day Also despite having enough rain to water my plant pots outside they are bone dry most of the time and constantly needing water even after rain This sun evaporates all their water almost immediately - has anyone else noticed this?

I definitely think something's going on with time. For the past 3 years or so I've been unable to operate on a normal routine schedule and have odd sleeping patterns where I can be awake for almost 24 hours and sleep 10-11 hours instead of the usual 8. The clip around the 6 min mark explains it pretty well from what I've experienced. 16 hour days instead of 24, yet my body is still trying to operate in the 24 hours I used to know.

May they are hybridized. I didn't know a lot about hybridization, but is it possible that things of nature that have been so far removed from it origin will not survive these times of pole shifting, a change in the Sun, and the extreme heat or radiation? I don't know, but there's a thought.

Wow , I noticed mine were pointing the opposite direction towards the shade of my neighbors home the other day.

I am in northeast Texas and I brew sun tea every summer, I use the same glass gallon jar and set it in the same spot. I leave in the sun for roughly 3 hours between 2-5 in afternoon, the jar is always hot when I pick up but this year, I had to actually use a towel because it would burn me and also when I carry in the house I pour it into a Tupperware container and it actually had steam coming off of it. On another note, I have noticed that the sun sits in a different position for this time of year as the shadow from my house has changed location, maybe I'm crazy? Don't even get me started on the birds singing at night now, lol.
