I’m thinking of doing a drive way, but don’t you need to put some kind of weed barrier down? Won’t the Gravel just sink to the mud?

Question, how exactly did you use the root rakes? Basically the guy was dozing the trees over, and you would pick them up with the root rake and take them somewhere else to pile up? Or how exactly were you using this method in order to keep the topsoil somewhat intact? I'm about to clear some land next week and am worried about the topsoil situation since they will be bringing dozers

Anybody do this in Florida? In a county with no minimum dwelling size?

Can you give rough estimates on what it cost to have the home delivered? What it cost to connect utilities? Have a septic design approved and installed? Did you have to clear any trees or level any land, and what was that cost? What permitting was required, what it cost, and how long it took?

i went to remove the carb and it's blocked by the handle what in the holy fuck kind of shitty design.
@nancyfancy26846 ай бұрын
Take the top of the handle off (The curved part with the button releases in the lower section). Then pull the left side lower handle back--should allow you to remove and reinstall the carb (but agree it's a PIA)

@CountryRootsFarm8 ай бұрын
We do have a spring! But it only flows in the winter and spring. It’s dry in the summer and fall. Drilling the well supports animals, gardens, and us with all the water we need. Thanks for watching and commenting!

My wife and I just bought some land and we’re planning on doing the same thing with a manufactured homeWe thought we should do the septic first and the driveway what are your thoughts
@CountryRootsFarm8 ай бұрын
That’s awesome! Congratulations! We had the septic instillation done after our home was set up because we knew the home would have to travel over where our septic lines were permitted to go and we didn’t want to risk damaging them. Also, the size septic field will depend on the number of bedrooms/bathrooms in the home. It might be worth picking the house you want first and then getting the permit for septic to save money from pulling the permit more than once? Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hello! I heard you mention Homemax, was it the one in Lexington SC??. My daughter is looking at a home from them and was wondering how your experience was with them overall and would you use them again and recommend them? Thank you! She lives in NewEllenton SC by the way!!!

That’s awesome! Yes, we got it from Homemax in Lexington! Our experience was great and we saved a lot of money working with them instead of Clayton. Wishing y’all the best luck finding the home she wants! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thank you for making this video, the home is beautiful! I feel there is such a stigma around manufactured and mobile homes when they can be a wonderful place to live!
@CountryRootsFarm8 ай бұрын
Thank you and I agree! There is definitely a stigma but at the end of the day, having a safe place of our family to call home is really all that matters. I think it’s easy to get caught up trying to keep up with everyone around you but doing what works for you/your family will always be the right choice 😊

Whats the story on the oils. The one on the pull side says motor oil 10 w 30 20 oz. The one on the other side looks like it also shares same place with motor oil. Have you ever changed the pump oil. Says its w85 90? If i put in motor oil and can drain it from other side i guess they are the same reservoir. Thanks
