Yes, my question is. Where should I plug it in the outside? Plug inside the house or inside the Rv.

Is this camp pro 2 a extender or cell booster? How does this compare to Wilson’s WeBoost? I am trying to get better cell and wireless hotspot data reception… does this boost cell signal or is it only for extending “park” wifi? Thanks

How far can I be from the campus router for the extender to see the campsites Internet? We were just at site that only had connection at the office about 400 yards away. Also any updates on which extender to buy? The one in this vid is no longer available. Thanks

Many thanks for the video! I couldn't find this model in german Amazon, but got Netgear Ex6120 instead. I hope it serves as good as yours.. I wonder, does this work when the capming/public wifi networks have some sort of a login (or accept conditions) page popping up AFTER you are connected to the network? Do you have a solution for such cases?

I have the camppro2v2, it's mounted on a pole at the front of our seasonal and from the back of our spot where the deck and gazebo is doing speed tests with a Samsung S22Ultra Ive gotten somewhere between 25-100% faster download speeds going thru the campro2v2 now i think thats mostly because its mounted on a pole and has direct line of site, the signal thru their app is 90% so it's pretty good. I have experienced it dropping so that is a think but all in all in the right circumstances its a good buy. My next experiment will combine 4 accesspoints connected to a load balanced router. My thought is that because they throttle each connection i can get 4x the connection speed doing this.

You would think that with advanced technology, this would become easier to figure out. NOT SO! In fact, finding any information on WiFi extenders and how to set them up is nearly impossible to find or understand if you do find them. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this needed information!!! I know this video is now nearly 2 years old but is still the best one I have found!

Nice video....I full time in my RV and love it! I was working seasonally in the national parks... so really 8 or 9 months in park then tow to my winter destination. Now I've permanently settled in a beautiful RV Park in Utah. Honestly, I don't think any 5th wheel is made towing long distances over time. I had an RV old timer tell me..."the less you move it the longer it will last". The build quality is just not that good to begin with... the only goal is keeping the weight down. The reason I say this is you mention that there are units better built for long towing.... not so sure of that. Of the countless brands of 5th wheels there all made by about 4 or 5 of the same companies (just marketed under different names) mostly all based in Indiana and majority owned by Warren Buffet. They all use the same build methodology and same components. To me, the nice thing is, as you've demonstrated there not that hard to modify or or improve on to meet your needs. In conclusion, I don't think your gonna find anything better (structural wise) than what you have... I'll subscribe... and enjoy watching your journey!

If I need to get my home WiFi to my barn about 0.2 miles away in distance, will ex6100v2 pickup the signal from my house if I have an ex6100v2 at the barn with line of the sight?

Thanks so much for this. The set up with the extender and router works great. And the best thing I used what I had at home with no extra cost. Appreciate it.

@Elizabeth-rq1vi2 жыл бұрын
Haha maybe far southern Ontario or lower mainland/ okanogan/Lilooet/southern Vancouver Island areas in BC. On a light winter maybe southern Alberta. We’re planning on following the 70s in the winter. The Durango Golds are full time/4 seasons warrantied.

I'm confused.. does the wireless router create a wifi connection? Or does it simply re-broadcast an existing wifi connection like a wifi repeater? Please help!
@squidben57802 жыл бұрын
In this case the Netgear extender receives and re broadcasts the signal and with the netowork cable attenche to the Dlink router it retransmits inside the rv either to an attached device on the dlink router or throught wifi on a separate bad inside the Rv. Hope this helps.

We’re contemplating a Durango Gold also for just the two of us our plus large dog. It seems to check all our boxes except for the cost, but that’s flexible to get what we need. Wondering about overall durability of the rig.

ive got an older camper and sometimes even on the park wifi i cant get signal inside i can stand at the window and it helps i would just lilke to get signal inside my camper instead of going outside to get decent signal? What would be best for me i think an external antenna and a router?

I think you have a lemon and would suggest working with KZ to work a deal on a new trailer!! If not I would personally be looking to find another trailer probably not KZ if they don’t work with you. I think you had that many leaks your going to have more! We are looking to purchase a Durango Gold but been hesitant because not very familiar with the brand and with manufacturers possibly cutting corners to get trailers out. Will be interested in how they work with you. Good luck!!

Look for "active" USB 3 cable. I have a Marantz microphone (USB output). Never heard a microphone with no noise before, awesome sound, and it's connected through a ~30 foot Tripp Lite active USB 2 cable to my PC. Been enjoying it for years, I'm a believer. You probably need a USB 3 port and cable for that WiFi application.

If I mostly boondock and want to go out west to stay on BLM land, assuming there IS a signal to pick up, what device do you recommend? I only need to connect a laptop.
@HomeAdrift3 жыл бұрын
If you're going to have any chance of picking up a wifi hot spot, I would suggest camp pro 2. However, it's a long shot that you'll even see a wifi or cell signal if it's true BLM boondocking you'll be doing. The only other option is mobile satellite internet. We're waiting for the mobile version of Elon Musk's Star Link which is probably 12-24 months out.

Nice video. I need a quality RV wifi booster that runs off of USB/12V (I often don’t have 110 access) - what might you recommend? Thank you!
@reBelBatteries3 жыл бұрын
The wifi camp pro 2 could work, the wall plug just converts 120V AC into 12V DC. So, you would just cut the wall plug off and hook up directly to your 12V system with a simple inline 3 amp fuse. This is what I would do if I only had 12V available. I've given a mixed review on the Camp Pro, in your situation, I would say it's better than nothing.
