I’ve had turkey hash and beef hash. Grew up in southern Indiana. Ours had the same stuff with a little chopped celery in it. Absolutely tore it up!!!

This is an OLD recipe. These were made by both of our grandmothers. It is a meal in itself. The taste is amazing. The savory/sweet combination is amazing. Old timers call them calico beans or cowboy beans. Many a church function has been graced with grandmother’s recipe. Cut back on the sugar if you want, but we’ll continue this dish as is. Thousands of folks have had this dish in our catering business, and we’ve yet to have a negative comment. 😎
