3:36 - This is called Bezier Curve. If handles for curves don't apear for you: add keyframes like in video, select your shape layer, right click position, select separate dimentions, now select graph editor, select two most right points and press on down right "easy ease in" and adjust it to your liking. Hope it helps!

Thank you for the tutorial!!! For the Evolution, instead of animating it with a keyframe, use expression time*x x is the speed of how fast you want it to animate. The lower the number, the slower it goes. You can get more control and add an expression slider effect to your later that way you can easily start fast and slow down the ripples. Simply type the above, and instead of x/number, pickwhip to the slider control. It'll look something like this. time*effect("Slider Control")("Slider) Then just animate the slider (to see the animation, you'll need to set the slider at a high enough number. Minimal is at least 100-150 for something very slow . :)

Love your little dog! I copied your steps with a cat. After exporting it, when I loop in QuickTime, there is a stutter. I built to 18 frames with keyframes every 3 frames. In After Effects she walks perfectly. Is there something I missed or something I can do to fix this? Thanks!

After I hit F9 and go to adjust ( 04:19 ) I am not getting an M-curve. I am getting a wavy red line and a wavy green line. Am I doing something wrong?
